Tuteveras' Arms - Arorangi


A stones throw from the Crown Beach and Edgewater Resorts on the west side of the island is Tuteveras' Arms, a large spacious studio, surrounded by a generous wrap around verandah and expansive grounds leading to the beach and ultimately the sunset.

Tutevera is well appointed with all the mod cons (Stereo, DVD etc), well screened and has two shower/bathrooms one inside and one out. Its wide covered verandah and BBQ is perfect for outdoor entertaining, whilst keeping the interior shady and cool. Large screened windows on three sides of the house allow the ocean breeze to pass through. The size of the property means there is ample room for a dining area, living area and a large queen size bed, without there ever being a feeling of "crampedness".

Tutevera's Arms is well situated, being very close to a number of restaurants, general stores and dive facilities all only walk away.

Thankyou for letting me stay it was a walk away from the beach, dive club, shop, and takeaways. Didn't really need to go far for anything and just pretty much stayed here and relaxed which is what you do on an island. Very handy having the airport and main town 5min drive down the road. Only thing is it does get pretty hot with no aircon but thats what the beach is for, and the fans definitley help. Really appreciate your home, thankyou.

Great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants & popular resorts - just a stroll down the beach for cocktail hour! Home is equipped with everything you need and more. Very spacious for two people and the sunset views from the verandah - spectacular! We hired a scooter to explore the Island - and again the location was great being quite close to town for the Saturday Market and Supermarkets, then in the other direction the more popular lagoons for swimming. Communication with the host Eddie was fast and efficient. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful find that I'm already planning to go back too. Easy and kind property manager, clean everything you need property, close to the water and resorts. Privacy was great. Yes there were roosters and dogs but they are everywhere and so they should be, if you're booking here take a few ear plugs, pop them in when you wake up and you'll be fine!

Great location but noise was an issue

Everything was perfect with the accommodation and location and host and nothing to complain about that is of any bodies fault but we wont be staying there again sadly due to us really struggling with the amount of noise from the roosters and the neigbours dogs from about 3am. We wore ear plugs which helped but they not very comfortable to sleep in ! The area seemed to be the best hang out place for roosters ! 🐓 Overall the holiday was great though . We love raro to relax and reset Thankyou 😊

Amazing Location - Everything you need

Great location on the Island with the lagoon right on your doorstep! The house was well furnished and had all amenties to make the stay very comfortable. The main pantry cupboard was quite musty and could probably do with a good airing. Other than that the property was really clean. There weren't too many consumables supplied - for example no real cleaning products (toilet cleaner and bench spray) which would have been appreciated for a 10 day stay. These things are fairly standard items to be provided across many of the other holiday rentals that we have rented. Not a downer at all but just something that would be a nice to have.. on the other hand, there were a supply of herbs and spices which made the cooking process a lot more interesting. Otherwise great house with a well equipped kitchen Would definitely go back

Awesome place!

I absolutely loved my stay at Tuteveras Arms! The place had everything I needed and the west side location was fantastic. It’s short walking distance to other resorts such as Crown (next door), Edgewater, OTB and restaurants/cafes, so you can enjoy dinner and cocktails without driving and the superette and ATM across the driveway was super handy. The entire place had screens across the windows, so no pesky mozzies inside with the added bonus of feeling safe at night. The addition of books, DVD’s, snorkelling gear & basic food items were a nice surprise! The beach at the end of the lawn was lovely for a quick dip & watching the sunset with a wine glass in hand, but just a little further along are some great swimming spots, nicely sheltered from the trade winds from the east side Eddie stayed in touch, even though nothing was required. I can’t recommend this place enough (esp for the single traveller or couple), you won’t regret booking Tuteveras Arms and I will definitely be back!

Nightmare

We have stayed at this property twice before, and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this lovely cottage. Unfortunately this time the property was over run with roosters that crowed constantly all night. The neighbors also had two dogs that constantly barked at night , including running around our veranda and section barking. We also had to pick up dog pooh off the lawn each day so we didnt walk on it heading down to the beach. We are rural people who are used to counrty animals and own dogs ourselves, but after staying there for two weeks , we moved out into alternative accommodation to preserve our sanity for the last couple nights ! Eddie the property manager, was excellant to deal with.

Perfect holiday

Such a lovely place to spend a week. The house was in an amazing location with the beach right there. Had s great time snorkelling tight there swimming with the fish. The house had everything you could want including the chickens.

Great place to stay-private access to your own slice of the beach.

Our second time staying at Tutevera's and wow! what a difference a freshen up of the decor and furnishings has made. Clean and tidy with all the amenities now in great condition. Highly recommended as a holiday venue right on the beach.

Situation stunning.... But

Some areas could be improved. Sun loungers broken ( left voicemail with manager but no response). Lacking in wardrobe / hanging space. Small leak in ceiling. Place in general starting to feel a little unloved. Garden untidy. On the plus side.. this is an awesome secluded location. Beach at the end of the garden. . amazing sunsets. Wouldn't take much to make this a 5 star rating. We would come again.

Paradise in Rarotonga

My wife & I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at this beautiful gem. Just next door to the Crown Beach Resort, so a easy walk along the beach to enjoy our evening cocktails. Fantastic quiet location on the beach with a short walk up the drive to catch the hourly bus. I thoroughly recommend this house, suits couples or groups of friends. I wouldn’t hesitate going back.
