Luxury Villa Layla with private heated pool - near Dubrovnik

LOCATION

We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).

Villa Layla is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”.

Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.

Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.

Due to our location and no public transport, car rental is essential.

THE SPACE

Villa Layla is a sublime semi detached property and a part of a small family resort. It provides a quiet and comfortable ambience for those who seek some quality time with friends and family.

The villa commands magical views over the mountains and the valley to the Adriatic Sea best enjoyed from the private impressive pool (7m x 4m) and extensive terraces. Wake up each morning to an early swim, enjoy sunbathing or 'chill-axing' in the outdoor lounge area. Simply cook up a BBQ and dine Alfresco at the marble topped dining table, whilst watching the sun going down.

The interior of the property is fully air-conditioned throughout and an open plan living area with comfy sofas, Wi-FI and TV enables you all to enjoy modern family time together. The picture box window here overlooks the pool, mountains and across the valley to the ever changing colours of the Adriatic Sea. An additional WC is located just off the lounge area.

The kitchen is high spec with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, ice maker and the all-important wine fridge. Crockery is provided to compliment any dinner party. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and ironing facilities.

Villa Layla sleeps 4 with both the bedrooms overlooking the pool, the valley all the way to the sea. The Master room has a beautiful en suite bathroom with the large walk-in shower. The Twin room has a private balcony and an adjacent bathroom with a large walk-in shower. They have been designed with attention to detail, handcrafted beds and quality linen. The sofa bed can offer additional sleeping for 2 more guests.

Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. Please note the pool will not be filled from the end of November until the beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.

Please note Villa Layla is part of an ongoing building development, light work may be undertaken on properties in the vicinity.

GUEST ACCESS

The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.

We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!

The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linen is included.

Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.

Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.

Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.

On request we can provide a large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.
We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

OUR ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WISHING TO PARTY!

We do not have any public transport and so are not suitable for non drivers.

This villa offers its guests a water park and an outdoor pool. The family-friendly villa also features barbecue grills, a garden, and concierge services.

Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this Ravno villa.
