This detached house in the village boasts a 500 m² enclosed plot with a lovely, secluded, shaded garden.

Inside, there is a large living room with a lounge/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. A spacious bedroom (accessed by two steps) opens onto the garden. There is also a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a separate toilet, and a laundry room with a washing machine.

Upstairs (13 steps), you'll find a play/relaxation area (with a sloping ceiling) ideal for children, and at either end of the room, two sleeping areas with sloping ceilings: one with two single beds (90 x 190 cm) and the other with a double bed (140 x 190 cm).

On the terrace, you can enjoy garden furniture, sun loungers, a barbecue, parasols, and a charcoal grill. The house is a former forge in the village of Razac-de-Saussignac, completely renovated by the owners. Just a 20-minute drive from Bergerac, and in close proximity to the beautiful fortified towns of Eymet, Issigeac, Monbazillac, Monpazier, and Beaumont-du-Périgord. From this house, explore the vineyards of the Périgord Pourpre region.

Originally from Northern France, we dreamed of settling in the Dordogne. That dream became a reality in 2018! We now also live in Razac de Saussignac.

Four years of work were required to transform the village's old forge into our gîte, La Forge Basile, named in memory of its blacksmith, Basile.
