The property is a historic hotel on the main street of Red Lodge Montana, with quaint shops, great bars and restaurants within walking distance. The staff are VERY helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was my small room didn't have a chair to sit in, and they brought me one when I asked. The restaurant on property is open for Breakfast and Lunch and is great - try the homemade donuts!

Cool, historic hotel with updated amenities!

Wonderful surprise stay at an updated yet historic hotel. Staff was awesome, easy parking, great on-site bar/restauant and still had space for a fitness room and 2 racquet sports courts!!! So unusual, especially for a very small, quaint town.

Not a great check-in experience. When I asked what room was told the person didn't know, it was on the key. It's an older hotel but coffee pot or fridge would have been a welcome edition to the room.

We always like staying here when we pass through. The staff is always very nice. The bartender Mia was great!! We were sad to see the dining room is now closed for dinner but we made the best of it😊 We will definitely be back!

Nice, but will soon need to be something more

Probably the best choice in Red Lodge, which maybe needs a new hotel. The Pollard is a classic old hotel that has retained many vintage touches while updating bathrooms, upgrading to flatscreen TVs, and converting racquetball courts to pickle ball. Still, it’s a little like staying in your odd great grandmother’s house. The restaurant in the hotel has the best breakfast in town and super friendly service. The town may be hesitant about the growth of arts and culture tourism, with Tippet Rise Arts Center nearby and the Red Lodge Cannery being redeveloped into a studio/ gallery/coffee shop complex by Roxy and Sofia Paine, but it would be smart to start thinking about its version of Hotel Saint George in Marfa, TX. The town is friendly, fun, and eclectic — but will need to figure out how to serve more diverse visitors, beyond bikers and Beartooth travelers.
