Just a short stroll from the beach and the town centre, and on the doorstep of Redcar’s stunning beaches, Marshlands is ideally placed to enjoy everything Redcar has to offer.



The Space:

Marshlands boasts a spacious living area, creating the perfect place to relax in front of the TV in the evening and a blue, white and yellow colour scheme that will keep you thinking about that soft sandy beach and those refreshing North Sea waters just on your doorstep. With a comfy sofa, chairs and a coffee table, this space has everything you need to make you feel at home during your stay at Marshlands. And if you get in touch and ask, we can convert the sofa into a sofa-bed for two more to sleep during your stay.



Staying on the lower level of the apartment is where you’ll find the kitchen. Fully equipped with modern appliances, it has everything you need to make the most of your self-catering stay with a minimalist approach to the decor, it is a perfectly practical environment for you to cook and prepare meals in.



This homely apartment has two double bedrooms. In keeping with the entirety of the Marshlands interior, both rooms are blue-themed. Both rooms have two luxurious beds, complete with plush bedding and premium bed linens.



The family bathroom can also be found on the lower level at Marshlands and it has a shower, wash basin and WC, stunningly dressed in unique tile designs that are sure to dazzle you.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.



Digital parking permits will be provided, details of which will be provided prior to your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Marshlands is located in the coastal town of Redcar. Packed with nostalgic charm, the seafront has ice cream parlours, arcades and fish and chip shops. There are a number of rides which little ones will love too!



Along the seafront is the infamous vertical pier where you can enjoy views of the coastline. This is also home to a popular bar with outdoor seating looking out to the sea. Further independent cosy bars can be found on Station Road, just a short walk from the apartment.



Redcar is also home to Redcar Racecourse so if you’re visiting for a race day or Ladies’ Day, the apartment is a great base.



Located on the North Yorkshire coastline, you can walk to Marske-by-the-Sea along the beach and then further on to Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Here you’ll find the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK and a 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea.



Getting Around:

Redcar Central Station is a short 12 minute walk from the apartment. Redcar has great train links with direct routes to Middlesbrough, Darlington, Leeds, York and Manchester. A number of connecting routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.



There are a number of bus stops throughout Redcar with Arriva routes to Middlesbrough, Marske, Saltburn, Sandsend and Whitby.

Property is “fine”. No frills, modern look. Fresh paint. Stylish living room. The cancellation modification policy is not as advertised on VRBO. I tried to modify through VRBO app at +30 days but they didn’t respond and when I emailed directly they explained that the T&Cs were stricter than what was advertised on VRBO. They were unwilling to adjust the dates and provide a partial refund for a lesser stay despite being 30 days out because “they have to abide by their T&Cs”. I think this is an issue for VRBO to fix rather than the property. The sun rises at 4:30am in this part of the world in mid summer - the best thing this property could do to Improve is install some light-blocking curtains or blinds - this would help people traveling with kids or anyone whose not used to getting up before 6am
