One unique feature of the property is our friendly resident orange cat, who has claimed the property as his own and loves to greet guests. Pet-friendly travelers are welcome too, provided their furry companions are comfortable around cats.

Getting Here

One of the best parts of staying here is leaving the busy world behind! The home is located on a quiet, private gated road, with the final ½ mile on a well-maintained gravel road. All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is recommended, to keep the road maintained in good condition and rut free.

Because this is a rural area, GPS and navigation apps are often inaccurate and may send you the wrong way. Please use the detailed directions we’ll send you before your arrival instead of relying on your navigation app.

We kindly ask that you drive slowly on the gravel road. It helps keep dust down, protects the road, and keeps everyone—including neighbors, pets, and local wildlife—safe. The slower pace is all part of the peaceful country experience!

Please remove your shoes if they are dusty or muddy from hiking. If you are traveling with a pet, please wipe their feet upon entering the house if they are wet with the towels provided by the door.
Please do not let your pet run free without supervision. The yard is not fully fenced in.
Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. Although it is a private residence, sound carries well to the neighboring property.
Please do not leave trash or food outside after dark, as wildlife will get into it. There are large bins in the garage to throw kitchen trash bags into. At this time, we are not recycling so all trash can go together.
The large garage door does open manually, please be sure to close it overnight, and be mindful of the cat who sleeps in the rafters.
If you befriend the cat, he will want to be an indoor lap cat- which is permitted but please let him out to eat and do his business.
The small fish pond in the backyard has a crack in it, so the water hose needs to be left on (already set up and going)
