What a let down

We had a 10 day break with average tired looking room and to bar area never no staff having to call them from reception to serve you not acceptable restaurant in morning was bit and miss having to wait for food at times and drinks never filled up the evening meuu was awful no choice and over expensive we were very disappointed the only saving grace was lovely surroundings and views needs a rethink there on all aspects staff there the few was we're good

Lovely hotel great location

Pros: location scenery
Cons: leisure facilities would be vastly improved if a pool was added.
Location: near Stratford upon Avon and drivable distance to Bicester Village Charlecote Park
Although the hotel is potentially a great stay it was let down by dirty stained cushions in the bedroom. An unfriendly bar man on the first night also didn't help the ambiance. However, all the receptionists were more than helpful and attended to any queries we had. Cushions were replaced on the second night and the cleaners did seem eager to please. If they all pull their socks up this could easily be a 5 star hotel.

Indifferent

Reception staff were most helpful and obliging. Coffee was a disaster, waiter was young and inexperienced and half the tray ended up on the floor.Before that was resolved,he returned to mop up , and we had to ask him to complete the order- oops! Breakfast was reasonably good, but again there was evidence of lack of training. All staff were very pleasant, particularly at reception. A somewhat disappointing experience overall.

Good value

just had a one night stay during a visit to the NEC. Arriving at the hotel in the evening we had a nice welcome from the very friendly receptionist. On inquiring about local places to eat she recommended a nearby Indian restaurant. By the time we had unpacked our overnight bag she had kindly drawn us a map of how to get there.The friendliness of all the staff we encountered more than made up from the tired looking decor in our room.
