Ideal for families or small groups, this accommodation features a welcoming independent living room. The space, enhanced by the warm tones of the terracotta floor, is equipped with a comfortable sofa, support poufs and a TV, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and socialise at the end of the day.

The kitchen, very picturesque and bright, is ideal for preparing all your daily meals. In addition to a charming dining area, it is well equipped with a hob, dishwasher, storage and all the essential utensils and appliances to help with your daily routine.

The highlight of the property is its wonderful terrace! Equipped with very comfortable outdoor furniture, it is the perfect setting to gather the family outside, marvel at a stunning sunset over the Alentejo landscape, or simply enjoy a glass of wine under the stars.

The house has three bedrooms, all harmoniously decorated to ensure peaceful nights. Two of these are comfortable double bedrooms. The third bedroom is equally welcoming, with a single bed (80x190) that can be extended to accommodate an extra child.

The bathroom has all the amenities, including towels and toiletries for your convenience.

Important note: The property has internet access, but the speed is limited due to the lack of fibre optic coverage in the area, so it is recommended for basic tasks only.

Located near the iconic medieval village of Monsaraz, this accommodation offers you an authentic journey through time. The energy felt in this neighbourhood is one of absolute and timeless peace. Walking through the narrow schist streets, lined with immaculate whitewashed houses, is to feel the true Alentejo soul. The comforting silence, the genuine warmth of the local people and the golden late-afternoon light create an inspiring retreat, perfect for slowing down and disconnecting from routine.

Just steps from the front door, you will be treated to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Portugal. Explore the imposing Monsaraz Castle, from where you will have a sweeping panoramic view over the Great Alqueva Lake (the largest artificial lake in Europe). Wander through the alleyways filled with pottery and craft shops, and be tempted by the rich gastronomy and excellent wines in the village's typical taverns. As night falls, the magic intensifies: lying in the heart of the world's first Dark Sky reserve, all you need to do is look up to marvel at one of the clearest and most spectacular starry skies you will ever see.

Despite being an authentic sanctuary in the clouds, its location is an excellent strategic base for discovering the greatest charms of the southern region. A short drive downhill takes you to the fantastic Monsaraz River Beach, ideal for refreshing swims and boat trips on the calm waters of Alqueva. About 15 minutes by car, you will find the town of Reguengos de Monsaraz (known for its vineyards and renowned wineries, such as Herdade do Esporão). For a deeper cultural immersion, the majestic city of Évora — a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its Roman Temple and Chapel of Bones — is less than an hour away. The ideal setting that unites romance, nature, history and the true essence of Alentejo!

The property is located in the heart of the medieval village of Monsaraz, in Upper Alentejo — with stunning views over Lake Alqueva.

Monsaraz has no regular public transport. A car is essential. From Lisbon, the property is approximately 2h30 by car, via the A2 and A6 towards Évora, then the N256. From Évora, it is about 50 minutes by car.

The nearest airport is Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS) in Lisbon, approximately 2h30 by car. Taxis and private transfers are available upon prior booking.

This property has a self check-in system, and you will be asked to verify your identity before checking in. Check-in is available from 3 PM, subject to availability and confirmation.

Once the booking is confirmed, guests are required to fill in a registration form, in accordance with the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding smoking on the property. If our team finds evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g. smell of smoke, ash, cigarette butts), we reserve the right to charge a minimum fee of €200 for smoking.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair usage policy for utilities will apply with a limit of €80.
