Loved the quiet location of the property at the end of the boardwalk. The room we were in needed some updates - the toilet flushed by itself in the night and the AC was very loud when it turned on. Despite being a non- smoking facility, we were awakened by the strong odor of marijuana smoke right outside our door.

The staff was unprofessional both on the phone & person. We stayed here as part of a wedding. When we call to inquire about rooms the staff wasn't warm or pleasant to speak with & it took way too long to get a manager to reach back out to us & address our Qs prior to arriving. When we arrived from out of state prior to check in time. The staff at the front desk did not great us with a warm hello instead she rudley stated check in is not til 4pm. We were aware we were early and probably a room wasn't ready but wanted them to know we arrived. Another couple came in a few min after us & were also checking in but they were not greated w/ the same rude behavior. To add to it the following morning we woke up to ants all over the front entrance of the room & the bathroom area. A maintenance worker came to spray the area, he said that he had never had a room have this many ants & said that we should be moved out of the room that he would speak to the front desk. When we went downstairs the manager told us that they were fully booked for our type of room and could not move us. We didnt want to stay in a fumigated room, not to mention we were a part of the wedding & didnt want to have our clothing smell like raid bug spray. The manager didnt want to make the situation right, only offered to cover everything w/ garbage bags and reffered to the situation as a minor inconvenience. An ant infestation that keeps us out of our room for hours?! He also hid in the back anytime we were in lobby

The hospitality service was not there. Our room was only cleaned once during our stay. We and 2 other guests also complained at the same time about the housekeeping service. Even with a complaint and being told our room will be cleaned, only our towels and trash was taken care of. We came back with our beds untouched. No new sheets since checking in. Had to complain again and watch housekeeping finish their job. No accommodations or anything for this, just an apology from the front desk. We had to report a leak by the entrance that the staff at the desk were not aware. Probably because the cell phone was more important. There was another spill and someone did slip. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Walk out and right on the beach. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom is tiny and if you have a family, there is no privacy for changing. Only in the tiny bathroom. We did like that they provided a temperature control down comforter for heat to keep you warm from the cold air conditioner. Only thing is, the air conditioner kept going back to 70 degrees even after you adjust it. We did not get the friendly hospitality service. First time there and last time there. First time in Rehoboth Beach and we had friendlier and more hospitality service in the stores and restaurants than this hotel.

Excellent Hotel

Very pleasant comfortable place with good value all around. Facility well maintained. Very clean. Great location at north end of town offers convenient parking and less crowd than a few blocks toward center of town. Direct access beach; no roads to cross. Can bike a quiet mile to Cape Henlopen State park.
