A unique farmhouse from the 19th century - lovingly preserved, completely self-sufficient and surrounded by wild meadows and deep forest. Only 15 minutes by car to the Baltic Sea or an idyllic inland lake. Here you will find absolute peace, clear air and simple beauty - without neighbours, Wi-Fi or distractions.
The Retreat House was built around 1890 and has been restored with great care. It combines historic charm with contemporary design and selected artefacts. In 2019 it was part of The Estate exhibition at the Kim? art centre in Riga.
Ideal for anyone who appreciates tranquillity, nature and aesthetics - and is prepared to forego certain city comforts.
Important to know:
- No running water (bottled drinking water is provided)
- Dry toilet (compost toilet near the house)
- No WLAN / no mobile phone network in parts of the site
- Car absolutely necessary
- Sauna available (wood-heated)
- Gas cooker, fridge and sink in the kitchen (washing up with water provided)
