Prison cell

Upon check-in at 3:30 PM, our room wasn’t ready, so the staff offered us a different one, which initially seemed nice. However, upon entering, there was a strong, unpleasant odor. The window was wide open without a screen, and we noticed stains on the bedspread along with crumbs on the furniture. I requested a different room and was told there was only one other available. Unfortunately, this second room felt quite uninviting—it overlooked a dark, abandoned pool atrium, making the space feel more like a prison cell. This was the only source of natural light, and it added to the gloomy atmosphere. The room was very dated, also had a noticeable odor, though slightly less offensive than the first. At checkout, there was no apology or offer of compensation for the inconvenience. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I do not plan to stay here again.

Good stay, clean and good location

Came into Revelstoke and enjoyed our day walking through the town. The staff at the front were wonderful.. it was a young man with an excellent sense of humour.. and he got us in an hour earlier which was so nice.

The property is dated but the hotel was clean. Great place to store bikes. Fitness room is in pool area so did not open until 10am. Staff did let access fitness room earlier but would suggest opening earlier than that. Only downside was the room smelled musty/mildewy but loved the spacious room. The bed frame was too large for the bed so we asked staff to fix and they wrapped towels around so our legs didnt get scratched when getting out of bed. Overall, would stay again, right off highway, close and convenient.

The hotel is so run down and dirty. The first visit our room was so dirty. There was hair in the beds, on the bathroom floor, in the shower. The furniture in the room is so old and falling apart. There was no extra toilet paper in the bathroom , ran out of it in the middle of the night. Complained to the manager upon checking out and he promised an upgrade on our return visit six days later. Our upgraded room was right beside our last room! Same as last room but this also had mold around the tub and plugged up bathroom sink and just as bad as the other room. Some upgrade! Will not be staying there in the future.

For the price I paid, I cant complain. It was clean, but the maintenance was questionable- caulking or grout was piled high around the base of the toilet (a toilet should never be sealed around the base, but even if so, the job was done horrendously), lightbulbs needed changed, or perhaps the whole wiring job, and lighting was lacking overall. I just think theyd benefit from a better handiman and maintenance checks. However its in a great location, staff were kind and the price was good

No complaints about front desk staff, however the building and rooms definitely need help. The entire exterior is outdated and shows obvious wear, and the area behind and beside the hotel makes one feel unsafe...abandoned buildings, homeless people drinking, abandoned vehicles etc. The room was so musty that even the carpet was wet...even the following morning. Beds are super soft and while basic cleaning was done, these rooms could use a very deep cleaning...wash the doors, the baseboards, and run a vacuum along the baseboards. Glad it was only one night, and will never stay here again.

I would not recommend this place. First of all they call it a hotel, but the section we stayed in was motel style. The room was gross. Sheets and bedding were stained and had hairs all over. Floors were damp, grungy and had not been vacuumed well. . Bathroom was dirty, tub drain was clogged and shower curtain was disgusting, also the bathroom did not seem swept. Room was damp and mildew smelling. Walls had dirt and what appeared to be boogers on them. Also they were supposed to put me in a room with 2 queen size beds, however the beds in the room were doubles. When I pointed it to the front desk agent that I was put in the wrong size room he argued with me that they were queen size. I am well versed in different bed sizes and can tell the difference. I talked to another guest who was in the actual hotel part of the property and she said it was nice, so maybe request that if you are going to stay here. They have offered me 10% off, however I would rather them address the issues.

For $300 it was gross. The air freshener they sprayed in the room was so strong you could taste it, the walls were filthy, the shower had mold in it and the bedding was stained.
