Lack luster dated hotel. Halls smell and look old. Room was fresh though. Horrible buffet breakfast with dry scrambled eggs and hot dogs.there are walkable options locally though. Snaps was nice. curtains didn’t cover the windows so we slept in the midnight sun. Paper thin walls. Much of the art is warped and yellowed. This was probably lovely back in the day.

The hotel is quiet and has a fabulous bar. The breakfast was yummy. I loved the location. Easy to walk to area attractions. The art was also enjoyable.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holt. Very charming and quiet hotel only a few minute was to the BSI terminal (excursion shuttle hub) and the City Center. The staff is amazing! Very kind and helpful, would stay here again.

The property was nice - I just had surgery on my shoulder and tripped really badly entering the hotel at 8:30 pm, the carpet matches the step which is very hard to see. This needs to be fixed or install a ramp. You have very old clientele inside. Breakfast solid - staff friendly, would come back again

Helpful, friendly staff. 2 car parks for hotel customers though parking cannot be reserved or guaranteed. We were fine Thursday & Friday night early July. Luggage storage if needed. Breakfast had reasonable range. Room was ok. We were on road side and was a bit concerned re noise but heard nothing )on 1st floor up). Beds soft but comfortable. Would have put excellent but no black out curtains and insufficient curtain to cover the windows so eye blinds needed for summer travel. Great location for easy walk to national museum, town etc. 20 min walk to Saga Museum, Maritime Museum and old quay area.

This was our first time in Iceland. The Hotel Holy was an EXCELLENT choice! The bed was super-comfy, with great duvets one could snuggle into. The breakfast was terrific, with different items each day to avoid repetition, and many items were the same to reflect consistency. The front desk was always staffed, and had all the answers we needed. The hotel was founded as a showcase for outstanding art, and many works by artists - oils, watercolors, drawings and prints, sculpture - were on display. Every inch of the hotel is covered in art! I look forward to my next trip to Iceland and this hotel!

Room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. A complementary selection of beverages and snacks was a nice touch. I loved the separate tub room with a fabulous soaking tub. Staff was extremely helpful and took the time to book our tickets for The Sky Lagoon.

A beautiful classic hotel. The artwork is everywhere and fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. And very quiet, yet only less than 10 minutes to lots of restaurants and the sights.
