We stayed in the family cottage which was cozy and perfect for our family of 4. The incuded breakfast was outstanding with fresh baked bread, home smoked lamb in 4 varieties, and more. We enjoyed the museum and the book-themed restaurant building. We are dinner here and it was great, though expensive. Overall good value.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Hali Country Hotel during our road trip, and it was exactly what we needed. The setting is peaceful and scenic, making it a perfect stop to relax and recharge. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming. After a long day of driving and exploring, it was the ideal place to unwind. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and everything about the stay felt easy and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Hali Country Hotel to anyone traveling along the South Coast—it’s a great place to stop and rest while taking in the beauty of Iceland.

Nice place to stop if driving through and weather forces you to stay. Pretty ocean view. Really no amenities. Warm enough water for showering. Waited for it to get hotter as the sign said, but it never got to hot. There was a bus tour there when I stayed, so it wasn't quiet by any means. Staff was kind and friendly.
