Charming 3 bedroom house, lovely garden, near river 3km

La Clède is a charming 250 year old property set in its own delightful large garden (2000SqM) with views over the stunning countryside in the Southern Ardeche and accessed via a paved road that winds up through the vineyards. Ribes consists of around 20 enchanting hamlets in this award winning area, set amidst the Parc Naturel Règional des Monts d‘Ardèche. The highly regarded restaurant La Cueille is just 350M away and is set on a stunning terrace. The property also has the benefit of being close to the river Beaume 3km with many bathing opportunities.

With its Mediterranean climate Spring arrives early, the Summer is long and the autumn months divine. There is a large covered sun terrace for alfresco dining. The delightful well-established terraced garden offers an endless choice of spots to sit in the sun or cool off in the shade, all with plenty of seating.

La Clède has undergone a major refurbishment programme and is tastefully modernised whilst making use of the natural features and materials. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with a dishwasher and a large fridge freezer to help make self-catering as easy as possible. All bedrooms are en-suite including a high end bathroom. Wifi is available and there is plenty of private parking in front of the property for two vehicles.

Ribes is located on a sunny promintary close to the town of Joyeuse with its weekly well renowned market. The river Beaume is a short distance away and is great for splashing about with the children or simply relaxing on one of the small sandy beaches.

The area around Ribes has many beautiful walks starting from the property, cycling both on and off road is simply superb, bike hire is available nearby. Canoeing/kayaking down the Ardeche Gorge is very popular with an easily accessible, but far less commercialised start point of Balazuc, a well renowned "beau village".

Peaceful and relaxing with wonderful gardens and with great views.

The property was well equipped and the owner, Mike, was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The garden was enjoyed by all the family and we had some great days out to nearby sights.

Well equipped, clean and set in beautiful countryside

The living room, kitchen/dining room were large, comfortable and very well equipped. Lovely comfy sofas, and loads of pots and pans if you are cooking. The beds are very comfortable, we slept like logs. The 3 bathrooms proved very useful, one beautifully modernised. The others are fine but not such a high standard. There are lots of little nooks around the extensive, terraced gardens, to find the perfect spot to relax in sun or shade, with views across the village and surrounding countryside. Further great views are found within walking distance, either a gentle stroll out of the back gate, or more strenuous walking following one of the marked routes. Mike, the owner, was friendly and helpful, but not intrusive, he was able to advise on local walks and cycling.

Sensational house and lovely hosts. Quiet, well looked after and thoroughly relaxing. Wonder why we haven't been there earlier. Stayed with 3 kids and didn't miss anything. Amazing garden and surroundings. If you are into ardechoise rosé wine enjoying and overlooking a gorgeous green valley from the laid back terrasse with olive trees providing shade and the only thing you hear is the church bell, this is the place.

We hebben een fijne week gehad in Ribes. Het huis is mooi, groot, schoon en de eigenaren zijn heel erg vriendelijk. Ze geven goede tips. Het zwemmen in de rivier op 3 km van het huis was heerlijk. Het restaurant op loopafstand was ook heel erg gezellig en we hebben er lekker gegeten. Het kanoën op de Chassezac was geweldig!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt und sehr netter Vermieter . Der dieses Haus zum sicherlich größten Teil selbst renoviert hat . Die Unterkunft bietet Platz für 6 Personen wir waren nur zu zweit , also perfekte Bedingungen und Platz . Es wird sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit gesetzt was wir als angenehm empfanden . Sehr schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Natur . Absolut empfehlenswert . Dankeschön .

Prachtig huis met gezellige tuin

We hebben een zeer fijn verblijf gehad! Het huis is mooi, ruim, schoon en licht. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is ook goed. Een uitgebreide en goed ingerichte keuken. Daarnaast biedt de tuin een heel mooi uitzicht. Er zijn veel fijne plekken waar je kunt zitten in de tuin. De verhuurders (die in het aangrenzende huis verblijven) zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben dankzij hen de beste zwemplekken ontdekt. Een geweldige plek om te ontbijten en dineren.

Séjour très sympa en Ardèche

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Mike et Julie, hôtes de bons conseils et très discrets. La maison était très propre et très jolie, même si pas très pratique avec sa terrasse à l'étage où l'on accède via une chambre. Mais, pour les vacances, on s'en est très bienarranges.

wonderful holiday

Wonderful landscape and place to stay .. holiday together and still enough space for all family members when wanted, inside and outside the house - for teenagers + parents. Everything is like in the description and more...The house is spacious and tastefully decorated, well equipped and clean. During our stay it was hot but we found several nice places just a short drive away at the river to take a refreshing bath or even swim.. Very nice and easy communication with advice and support from Julie and Mike. Thanks for everything!

Séjour à La Clède

Nous avons passé deux semaines idylliques à La Clède. La maison est absolument merveilleuse, elle a un très grand charme et une véritable âme. De plus, elle est parfaitement équipée. Quant au jardin, c'est un régal de pouvoir y passer du temps, au gré de la journée et des envies. Il est tout simplement magique. Le cadre est magnifique, et Mike et Julie sont des hôtes parfaits. D'une grande gentillesse, réactifs, pleins de bon conseils, et très accueillants... Notre séjour a été une réussite. Nous espérons bien revenir un jour à La Clède! We spent two idyllic weeks at La Clède. The house is absolutely wonderful, it has a great charm and a real soul. It is also perfectly equipped. As for the garden, it is a delight to be able to spend time in it, depending on the day and the mood. It is simply enchanting. Not only is the setting beautiful but Mike and Julie are perfect hosts. Very kind, responsive, full of good advice, and very welcoming... Our stay was a success. We hope to return to La Clède one day!

Tolles Haus

Schön renoviertes Haus mit sehr gut ausgestatteter Küche, sehr gepflegt. Großer Garten mit verschiedenen Bereichen zum Verweilen. Excellente expérience à Ribes dans cette belle maison

Maison très bien équipée et très agréable dans un cadre fabuleux en pleine nature Parfaite pour se reposer et profiter des environs qui ne manquent pas de choix (rands, vélo, baignade en eau vive, visites...) Les propriétaires Mike et Julie sont d'une extrême gentillesse et ont pris soin avant notre arrivée de nous transmettre toutes les informations nécessaires. Nous recommandons cette location.

Goede accommodatie met voldoende voorzieningen. Fijne tuin met vele terrassen en meubels. Vriendelijke buren die ons graag over de omgeving wilden informeren. Jammer van de vele insecten in deze tijd van het jaar.

Wunderschöner Urlaub in der Natur

Wir haben eine herrliche Woche verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schoen eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Man kann sich wunderbar im Garten aufhalten, es gibt eine tolle Sitzgelegenheit mit einem herrlichen Ausblick. Gleich in der Nähe ( ca. 10 Min) gibt es herrliche Badestellen im Fluss -Beaume und auch die Ardeche lässt sich gut mit dem Auto erreichen und lädt zum Paddeln ein. Mike ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber und gibt gute Tipps. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Un petit paradis verdoyant
