Bruaich Cottage is a charming dales cottage, centrally positioned in the picturesque village of Gunnerside just a stone’s throw from the village pub and tearoom. Perfectly located for exploring upper Swaledale, you can access footpaths and cycle paths straight from the door.
Tucked up a quiet road in Gunnerside, you’ll enjoy the privacy and tranquillity this gorgeous village and rustic holiday home has to offer. The holiday home provides comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people and 1-2 well-behaved dogs with free WiFi, and a Smart TV. The upside down lay-out, with two double bedrooms on the ground floor and living area upstairs makes the most of the space and views across farmland.
The lounge / diner on the first floor, with the rustic beamed ceiling, is spacious yet cosy with the large multi fuel stove, which is in addition to the electric heating throughout. The kitchen, which adjoins the living room, is compact but offers ample space and all the equipment you shall need during your stay. The large dining table is ideal for enjoying family meals or spreading out an OS map to plan your next adventure together. There is a shower room on the first floor with a shower cubicle, basin and w.c. Downstairs there are two double bedrooms, one with a comfy king bed and the second with a double bed.
Outside, the cottage offers secure bike storage in the lockable outhouse. There is a small tabletop freezer in the outhouse too should you require it. There is parking for two cars to the front of the cottage. Also a bench for sitting outside to enjoy a morning coffee and the beauty of Swaledale or an evening tipple after exploring the local fells.

Bruaich Cottage is situated in a small, rural village in Swaledale. It has one pub which serves good food, a cafe and numerous walks and bike rides straight from the door.
Getting there
From A1: turn off at Scotch Corner to Richmond
• In Richmond take the A6108 and then B6270 to Reeth
• Travelling through the village and towards Gunnerside
• Continue on the same road to Gunnerside
• Immediately after the small bridge (next to The Kings Head pub) you shall see the small triangle village green. Drive up the road on the left hand side of this green. You shall see Bruaich Cottage on the right hand side, 2nd from the last house.
• There is a drive with parking for one car.
