Room was very clean. Our shower dripped and the drops hitting the metal drain bar was so loud we had to keep the bathroom door closed. Also, the toilet didn't flush properly (tank didn't always refill correctly). It's weird, but our toilet was broken on our last stay there a year ago. There was no decaf at the coffee bar. I know it's in the room, but why have two different kinds of caffeinated coffee and no decaf? Some people have medical problems (heart, etc) and cannot have caffeine. So they have to make coffee in their rooms and then come out for breakfast? That makes no sense. My biggest issue, however, was the scrambled eggs. I am lactose intolerant. I am very good at avoiding lactose, but there was no signage stating that milk had been put into the eggs. I had severe cramping all afternoon and I will spare you the description of the aftermath. I have never had this happen at any restaurant. Please put some signs up saying that there is dairy in the scrambled eggs. Other than the coffee and the eggs, everything was perfect. The staff is professional and friendly, and our lobby and room were spotless. We were on the first floor and it was pretty quiet.

I really like this hotel. Laura is so kind. She makes me feel very welcome. This was my second stay. This is my go to hotel while my daughter is at VCU. I felt safe there while traveling alone.

The staff was extremely hospitable... from the front desk to the cleaning crew to the woman bringing out a wonderful breakfast - all were cheery and welcoming! King room was outstanding. When in Richmond, we will definitely stay here again!

Most of the outlets in the room did not work. Most importantly there were cords hanging loose from the wall underneath the night stand--very dangerous. This was room 310 and the electrical in this room needs to be dealt with. There was no one at the front desk to address this with and since we checked in late and left very early we did not attempt to deal with it any further. Please for the sake of anyone else who stays in that room fix this so no more--especially a young child--gets hurt.

Probably the worst room I have ever had at a Hampton Inn. Not very clean. Cheap sheets. Door on dresser hung open/wouldn't close, hotel itself seemed fine but my room was just OK at best
