The hotel sent me a text to pre-register, which I did and asked me scan in my driver lic and cc info. When I arrived at 1pm they only had 1 room. Front desk had given my other room away it took over an hour to resolve and it was not pleasant after a 5 hour drive. Restaurant and bar was closed and my family just wanted to go to bed. This was all planned well ahead this experience was u professional and handled inappropriately. Front desk actually asked the man they checked into my room to get out ?? Unbelievable

The hotel staff is very friendly and very accommodating, room cleanliness was excellent. As you expect from an older building some parts are worn and a small elevator. The room I was in had windows that only let in light but had no view. For those there for work, excellent WiFi! I would stay again!

Not a fan of this hotel - paint chipping all over the room, shower water wouldn’t turn off fully & the shower handle fell off. Rooms are horribly decorated & it didn’t feel very clean. No coffee mugs in the room either but coffee pods.

Bait and switch

This was my first time staying in Richmond. I reviewed the hotel and the images before I booked it. It looked lovely. Clean, spacious and bright. I was expecting a clean room with Natural Light. But, that is not what walked into. The suite was large a kitchen, separate living area and a good size bedroom (with only one small window in the entire space) I felt like I was in a cave. The curtain in the bedroom was dirty. Carpets looked like they had seen better days. I was very disappointed. There seemed to be an issue with the shower drain as well.it didn’t drain properly .I went to the desk and asked for another room the next morning and was told nothing was available. The hotel appeared to be understaffed and the staff were kind, but appeared to be stressed. It’s unfortunate since I will definitely be traveling back to Richmond in the future to visit my family. I cannot refer or recommend this hotel as it was disappointing to me.
