Lake Sjusjø is ideal for fishing and canoeing. In winter, there is an extensive network of cross-country ski trails, making Sjusjøen one of the best cross-country ski resorts in Norway. There are also cafés, restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. A day trip to Lillehammer, with the Maihaugen open-air museum or the Olympic Park, offers cultural variety and entertainment for the whole family.
