Bargain of bargains, but prepare with necessities
You could not ask for a better location - especially for the price. It is an apartment owned by an individual (whom I spoke with on the phone the day we were leaving because I wanted to pay her for the basics, cleaning... She refused any money despite the fact we had been advised of a 200 R fee). Keep in mind it is an apartment/condo. So, although stocked, we had to buy toilet paper, shampoo, and other basic necessities. I did advise the owner she should have on hand a broom for us to clean after ourselves and that I bought a cleaning rag to mop the floor. I also advised her to leave some bags for the trash cans and at least one roll of toilet paper. The pool and fitness centers are not worth mentioning. The staff do not speak English since they are basically the doormen for the building. I did okay since I speak some Portuguese, but it would be difficult for most Americans. Also, there is no wonderful breakfast waiting for you like hotels. Overall, I would rate this a 5/5 and consider this place a bargain of bargains. I only wish I had known to bring essentials prior to arriving.
