The Space:

The Upper Level of Casa Arroyo Sporting Lodge, known to regulars as The Prime Spot, is the top floor of a waterfront lodge where the Arroyo Colorado meets the Lower Laguna Madre. This is the final private parcel before the entrance to Adolph Thomae Jr. County Park and the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, an outdoor paradise for fishing, hunting, and watching coastal wildlife.



Inside, the upper level opens into a bright great room with soaring wood-plank ceilings, comfortable seating, and big windows that pull in the water views. A full kitchen, a stylish bar and lounge, and an open gathering area make it easy for a large group to cook, relax, and reconnect after a day on the water. Five bedrooms and four full bathrooms give everyone room to spread out, and an elevator makes moving between levels simple.

Guests have access to the entire upper level of the lodge, reached by elevator or stairs, along with the lobby, the covered balcony, the boat dock and lighted pier, the BBQ area, and the large covered party deck.

Free parking is available on site for several vehicles, with room for boats and trailers.



Please note this is a working sporting lodge. You may see other guests, fishing and hunting guides, cleaning crews, and maintenance staff on the property during your stay.

Getting Around:

A vehicle is recommended for your stay, as Arroyo City is a quiet waterfront community with attractions spread out along the bay. The lodge is about 40 minutes from South Padre Island and Port Isabel and roughly 35 minutes from Harlingen, where you will find the nearest airport, groceries, and dining. Boat and trailer parking is available on site for guests bringing their own vessels.

• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

• Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM in consideration of our neighbors and other lodge guests.

• Pets are not permitted.

• The minimum age to rent is 25.

• Only registered guests are permitted on the property.

• This is a working sporting lodge. You may see other guests, fishing and hunting guides, cleaning crews, and maintenance staff on the property during your stay.

• The lodge is on the water; please supervise children closely near the dock, pier, and balcony.

• Guided fishing and hunting trips can be arranged through the lodge.

• Every reservation includes accidental damage protection for added peace of mind.

• Additional fees and taxes may apply to your reservation total.

• No smoking, parties, or events.
