Relaxing holiday in a stunning location with wonderful hosts - and the wine was pretty good too!

We booked the first week in August in the Gabbriccio apartment and what a relaxing week we had. The apartment is one of four in the building and sits alonside the owners accommodation building on a working vineyard with stunning views of the Tuscan coastline to Cecina to the front and the rolling hills of Tuscany to the rear. We made great use of the swimming pool and also had use of the tennis courts, bikes and chidrens play area if required. There is also a well equipped utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer if required. The apartment was very clean and fresh with all the facilities you need for a great self-catering holiday including a well equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and towels and swimming towels provided. The air conditioning was essential and very effective. The welcome pack was probably the best we have ever had in a rental property. The owners were delightfully welcoming and hosted the free wine tasting and tour of the vineyard which was both educational and tasty. Their care and attention for the properties and their guests is obvious from the moment you arrive. The property sits a along a hilltop spur and access is via an unmade road/track up through the forest which is quite an experience (SUV's and 4x4's are probably better than a standard saloon type of car). When you reach the top of the unmade road the vineyard and the property suddenly pops into view in its great location. It is a great base from which to explore Pisa, Florence, Sienna, Volterra and the numerous local hill towns. We have hired properties in the UK, France, Denmark and now Italy and we all agreed that this was the best. We are now planning when we might be able to return.

Entspannung pur

Das Weingut liegt auf einem Hügel mit einem traumhaften Blick aufs Meer. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, der Pool ist ansprechend groß und lädt zum entspannten liegen ein. Alle Ansprechpartner waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wenn wir einen Wunsch hatten, wurde dieser umgehend erfüllt. Der Tennisplatz ist ist ein einem guten Zustand, das Appartment war groß und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir können dieses "Objekt" nur empfehlen.

Toskanische Idylle

Wunderschön gelegene Tenuta mit Meerblick und grossem Umschwung. Wir waren in der sehr geräumigen und gut ausgestatteten Wohnung „Gabbriccio“ im ersten Stock mit Ausblick auf das Meer und die toskanischen Hügel. Die Tenuta verfügt über einen grossen Pool mit Lounge, einen Tennis-, einen Spielplatz sowie zwei Grillmöglichkeiten im Freien. Es gibt zahlreiche Tische um draussen zu essen. Die beiden Waschmaschinen dürfen gratis benutzt werden. Als Willkommensgeschenk erwarteten uns ein Frühstückskorb sowie mehrere Weinflaschen. Der Empfang durch Giaccomo war sehr herzlich. Auf dem Gelände gibt es mehrere Wohnungen, wobei man ungestört für sich selbst sein kann. Sehr empfehlenswerter Ort - wir werden wieder kommen!

Ruhiger Urlaub in wunderschöner Umgebung

Die Unterkunft liegt in herrlicher toskanischer Landschaft mit einem unvergesslichen Ausblick bis hin zum Meer. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist hervorragend, zur Ankunft waren sogar Lebensmittel und Getränke im Kühlschrank bereitgestellt, damit man nicht sofort einkaufen gehen musste. Vor Ort war jederzeit ein Ansprechpartner, um Tips für Restaurants etc. zu geben. Insgesamt optimal, um sich an einem ruhigen Ort zu erholen. Trotzdem günstig gelegen, um mit dem Auto Städte wie Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano und Volterra zu besichtigen.

Perfekte Erholung in traumhafter Umgebung

Hier ist die Wirklichkeit noch viel schöner, als es Bilder jemals darstellen können! Wir, eine Familie mit vier Kindern, haben hier zwei Wochen einen traumhaften und unvergesslichen Urlaub verbracht. Schon das Organisatorische vor der Anreise verlief unkompliziert. Auch unsere sehr späte Anreise in der Nacht stellte kein Problem dar und wir wurden aufs herzlichste empfangen. Die Apartments sind sehr sauber und geschmackvoll, ganz individuell und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlt es wirklich an nichts – sie ist so gut ausgestattet, wie wir es noch nie in einer Ferienwohnung erlebt haben. Und im Kühlschrank überraschte uns alles, was man sich für ein ausgiebiges Frühstück nur wünschen kann. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und eine gelungene Kombination aus Tradition und Moderne. Es gibt viele lauschige Plätzchen, an denen man sich ungestört niederlassen kann. Dabei hat man überall einen überwältigenden Rundumblick über das Meer und die Berge. Für unsere Kinder war neben Spielplatz und Tennisplatz natürlich das Schwimmbad der tollste Ort, an dem sie am liebsten die kompletten Ferien verbracht hätten. Während sie darin tauchten und schwammen, duften wir Eltern auf bequemen Liegen endlich mal wieder ein Buch lesen oder einfach den Ausblick genießen. Am Abend konnten wir beim Grillen Sternschnuppen zählen oder bei einem Glas Wein den Zikaden lauschen. Die Eigentümerfamilie und auch die Angestellten waren jederzeit hilfsbereit und herzlich - wir haben uns wirklich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Ganz herzlichen Dank dafür!!! Ein Höhepunkt war sicher die Weinprobe, bei der wir auch erfuhren, wie aus einer Ruine in verwilderter Landschaft in noch nicht einmal 20 Jahren wieder ein blühendes Weingut mit exzellenten Weinen wurde. Obwohl die Tenuta in den Bergen liegt, ist der Weg zu einem gut ausgestatteten Supermarkt mit dem Auto nicht weit. In der Umgebung gibt es nette Restaurants und Pizzerien. Ein besonderer Tipp ist auch der Kletterpark, an dem man auf dem Weg zum Anwesen vorbei kommt – von Kleinkind bis klettererfahren findet hier jeder die passende Herausforderung. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!!!
