Staff was very kind. Property needs remodeled and updated badly. The lamps were all bent, the rug was chewed up in a spot, the shower head was coming out of the walk and the fan in one of the bathrooms was coming out of the ceiling and making an awful sound. A/C did not work in the bedroom part of the suite.

The hotel is simple but clean, the people who work there are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the AC isn't working well in the room I stayed in. 218.

We have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate trips to VA. It's close to our family and is reasonably priced. We like that we get a suite with a living room area and separate bedroom area. Lots of room. Very nice staff.

Bleached smell soooooo bad -I had to go front desk for air freshner can whick was handed immediately like right on their counter! "Expected folks to ask for".

The front desk staff wasn't friendly or made you feel welcome However the manager was exceptional warm curious and very friendly The hotel had a foul smell thoughout the whole place The carpet was old and smelled The first room the assign me in was horrible the wall socket was hanging, the ironing board was broken and the bathroom door didn't work properly my wife got stuck inside the bathroom The second room i was assigned also smelling foul and at night my wife notice an army full of ants over the bathroom sinks I complained several times to the front desk staff which she showed no concern her replay was { we have a ant issue going on and gave me a can of ant killer and said you can return it in the morning) this place was the worse hotel I have ever stayed at and on Monday morning I will be filing a complaint against the hotel Glenn Reid greid66@yahoo.com if you need and further information

I did not know there was an animal fee as this website just states "pet friendly" so we stayed with our two small dogs. I received a phone call on the second day stating we needed to pay the 80$ for the dogs which we had no problem doing once we got back to the hotel. Once we arrived to the hotel we found that we were locked out of our room with all our belongings inside because we hadn't paid this fee that we weren't even aware of . This management group is ridiculous and has no tact. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. We were there to collect a dead family members ashes and these low life's made the experience even worse. They were so unprofessional and disgusting.

Although the staff were very friendly both the rooms we booked stunk of stale smoke. We could smell pot being smoked as we walked down the hallways. The carpets down the halls are stained and dirty. I covered the couch and chair in our suite with sheets off the bed because the couches are so stained. The beds are comfortable and clean but the overpowering smell of stale smoke is hard to deal with. I booked non smoking rooms.

The couch cushions were slashed and the pull-out bed was filthy and had bugs. The queen beds were clean and comfortable, but the frames made terrible metalic popping noises. Breakfast was really good and the lady in charge was amazing. If it weren't for the bug bites our breakfast experience may have overwhelmed our overall negative impression.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were GREAT and met our needs whenever something came up. There was a strong smell in the suite we were in but we were able to move to a new room when we requested a change. The AC kept up with the heat and humidity, but there was damp smell in the bed side of the suite when it was running. Staff cleaned the filters, and even though that didn’t seem to take care of the matter completely, if we kept that unit off when we weren’t there, that helped. The breakfast served was good but the same each day - eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit and bakery items. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

The hallways, lobby and common areas were all dated, drab and did not match the exterior. However the rooms were nice. The rooms had a unique floorplan that I have never experienced before but it worked. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had hot water and good water pressure.
