Would like to say, I LOVED THIS HOTEL. Very high end hotel. Beaches are beautiful. Pool is wonderful just like the pictures. Service was great. Ceviche at the restaurant SeaCat and fried fish is fire. They have a free shuttle in the afternoons to take you to other part called west end where there’s all these restaurants. Would go again for sure. Stayed 4night 5days. Breakfast buffet was a 4 out of 5.

First off the good stuff: Beatuful location, very nice staff, decor was well done in the main building, the pool was really nice. Issues: - AVOID ROOM 2111!!! This was the first room given to us, and there's a machine in the utility room across the hall that runs VERY loud all night long... some kind of pump that kicks on and off over and over again and sounds like it's coming right into your room. I feel like there's no way they didn't know this about that room... but still put us in it. They eventually moved us after I brought the issue up, but it feels like they're just hoping people won't complain. We almost didn't, but after 3 days of no sleep I had to say something. They did move us, but to a room with no balcony and a view of a derelict and rundown facility next door. Definately a downgrade (but no reduction in our room rate). - Transportation: It's not very close to ANYTHING, but they also refuse to call a local taxi for you to try and push you into using their shuttle service ($30 a ride to West end, vs a taxi being $15). For twice the cost, you'd expect a better ride, but one of the few we took smelled so strongly of gas fumes we had to ride with our heads out. - Prices: Not the room, everything else. I get resort "upcharging" for things, but there's a reasonable limit. - No coffee maker in the room... Which even cheap basic hotels provide. - No bottles of water/etc in the room.

Fantastic Relaxing Vacation

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation. Our room was incredible, the views were amazing, the snorkeling right off our beach was memorable. The service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. It is on the expensive side, but it was all worth the week of relaxation we wanted.

This property is beautiful. Well kept up and very new. The staff is excellent - especially Nayella at the bar. She has such a great smile to greet you and have a drink with every night! The rooms are beautiful - as well as the beach access and pool area. Chairs are plentiful, even though people reserve them super early in the day, we were always able to find a spot to sit. Also very easy access to the West Bay Dive shop and operator, and several restaurants are accessible from the beach.

For such a large resort you would expect some introduction to the property at check in. No information was really given except my room number, I even took my own bags up to the room. The property is very nice but service still needs some practice.

Kimpton was amazing! The restaurants I feel are the best on the beach strip. Beds are very comfortable. Only negative would be: housekeeping was slow and didn’t come a few times and room service never answered their phone. Great Pool and east beach access!

My first time here. Unfortunately, I was on a busy business schedule so any of the amenities I could not enjoy. Never used the pool or beach but certainly enjoyed the happy hour and the evening atmosphere. The bungalows were a nice quiet retreat. Exceptional people make all the difference.

The Kimpton Grand Roatan was exceptional. To start with this is a true 5 Star resort, incredibly high quality and absolutely beautiful. What sets this hotel apart from most hotels we have been fortunate to stay at though is the staff. They were friendly, intensive, professional and made our stay truly memorable. It shows that even the best hotels in the world need their people to deliver above and beyond. The owners and management should be proud of the team they have built. We can't wait to come back.

Some staff are helpful and friendly, but others are not helpful nor friendly at all. Resort is probably the best on the island, especially with snorkeling options right in front, but likely should not be 5-star rating. Food choice is very limited.

The property is gorgeous and the beach is extremely accessible for all guests. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is delicious. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
