Oceanfront island home sitting on top of the Reef, making fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and relaxing easily accessible!

This fully furnished home is located on Oak Ridge Cay which is a separate little island only be accessible by boat, we provide a boat with its driver to get you to and from the taxi stand in Oak Ridge or the parking lot in Oak Ridge. We also provide transportation to the local stores. We do recommend your stop at. the large grocery store in French harbor Eldon's on your way to the home and then fill in from the local stores. There is a fruit and veg stand a couple days a week and several local stores but they are small and limited.
VRBO map is a little off we are on a separate Island from Oakridge next door to the Reef House Resort.

The home:
This property rental is a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom house with a detached guest house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for groups of 1-16. Renting this property occupies the entire main house along with 1 to 3 bedrooms from the guesthouse, depending on the size of your group. Less than 6 guest the rental will be for the main house only.

We are located on the Southeast side of Roatan where the trade winds keep it cool and comfortable. The only noise you'll hear is the sound of the ocean.

It is the perfect place to watch out for different marine life and wildlife.
The home can be rented as a 3/2, 4/3, 5/4, 6/5, and long-term depending on availability.

This fully furnished home is located on Oak Ridge Key. The home can only be accessed by boat from Oak Ridge, where there is parking/ taxi/ bus. Oak Ridge is an English-speaking shrimping and fishing Village with quint houses built around a large Harbor on several keys. We are next door to the Reef House Resort, 30 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from shopping in French Harbor.

We can also offer all inclusive packages with meals and activities included we customize our stays to your needs from no service to full service and everything in between. We can also do your grocery shopping if your prefer.

This home is located in the Bay Islands and is different from the main land of Hondrous. Around resort areas in the Bay Islands, which include Roatan, Utila, and Guanaja, there is a concentration of resources and tourist are a high priority.

There are several things I love about this home but snorkeling in front of the home is easy and always available.

This a place to really relax and enjoy your time. You fall into island time with ease here falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, a view of the stars and waking to beautiful views. Drinking your coffee/tea from the front deck watching for wildlife and seeing the mountains of the mainland peak through the clouds. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets just enjoying slowing down but with plenty to do paddle board, kayak, fishing, walk down the dock and snorkel the reef swim to the edge and watch so much wildlife. Our guest fall in love with our home and area.

You can walk next door to the Reef house Resort and find guest playing games, enjoying the food and bar where its easy to meet new friends many who have been diving at the Reef House 20 years or more. There is a very popular dive master at the Reef House.
You can also walk the small cay and eat at the Light House fish Crawl restaurant that also recuses turtles and releases them back into the wild.
There are a number of restaurants you can reach by boat and George our caretaker is happy to take you to several there is a small fee.

We fell in love with this home and area 20 years ago and go there as often as we can. We are very grateful to have our staff that has been with us for years. I know as you read the reviews you will see our staff being available to help you with anything you may need is what sets our home apart from others. We strive to give you as much attention as you need while not intruding on your vacation. Many people who stay with us it's their first time to Roatan and it is comfort to know you have a staff available if you should need them. Many of our guest return year after year because of the ease our staff provides too.

We had a group of 12 and were provided 5 of the 6 rooms. I was surprised because that meant some people that were not related shared a room, but with that said it did work out because no one spent a lot of time in their room. Also, one of the back top rooms had a leak coming from the toilet that went into the downstairs room making the toilet in that room not useable. We were offered the other room. Since we were there only 3 days my son chose to stay in that room and used the main house toilets. The other thing worth noting for large groups is the boat provided for pick up was not large enough for our group and luggage so we ended up paying someone separately for the 7 minute boat ride which ended up being 25.00. Not a huge deal we probably could have waited on the dock and George could have made multiple trips but for us it was hot and we just wanted to get to the house. With all that being said none of these things ruined our trip or made it feel like a negative. The house was exactly like the pictures. The beds were extremely comfortable. Best family vacation spot ever!

Jerri was very communicative and helpful. We arrived on Thursday greeted by our driver, Dray, at the airport who gave us some interesting facts as we drove across the island to the East end. George, our private water taxi driver and groundskeeper greeted us at the water taxi spot and boated us over to OakRidge Cay. Mabel greeted us at a beautifully maintained main house where the 6 parents slept and a guest house where the 4 young adults slept. There is an ocean pool out front where the view was exquisite! We then spent some time next door at the Reef House Resort and Restaurant. We drank some tasty island drinks and highly recommend the monkey lala drink! Played some cornhole while Mabel, Dottie, and Sammie cooked a wonderful dinner for us. In fact we were treated to the most outstanding island food all week by these great ladies! Excursions to West Bay and Camp Bay beaches were great as was the mangrove and island tour. We did some fantastic snorkeling around Roatan too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back in a couple of years!

Great Stay

Everything about our stay was fantastic. Jerri was easy to deal with and answered every question we had. Mabel cooked dinner for us on 2 separate nights and the food was phenomenal! She was easy to reach, friendly and helped with anything we needed. George was great as well. He took us wherever we needed to go and even gave us a tour of the mangroves. We suggest stopping at Hole in the Wall for lunch if you do this. The house was clean, quiet and in the perfect location. We took a snorkeling trip but the snorkeling right from the house was even better. We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Breeze Villa!

Wow! Amazing property and staff!

We brought a group of 13 including a 1, 4 and 10 year old. The house was amazing for us! The staff could not have been better. We opted for the cooking and cleaning service for the week which changed our lives for the week. All of Mabel’s meals were amazing. The couple of times we ate out, we were wishing we had stayed in! If you dive, the dive resort next door is literally 20 steps from the house. The snorkeling from the pier was amazing as well and we same eagle rays, beautiful coral and tons of tropical fish and critters. We will be back!

What a trip

We were 2 familes totaling 11 with kids ranging from 10-18 years old. We cannot say enough great things about our expierence here. Jerri was a great host and super responsive but Mabel and George were the best. Mabel from her amazing meals to helping plan out our days made relaxing and exploring so easy. George was always around to take us by boat or just to talk with the kids who became very fond of him. House was well equipped with anything you need. Read all the reviews prior to choosing this home. We have nothing but good things to say about the people and the place. Mabel the House Manager was nothing but kind and attentive. George was also awesome. We are not a very needy couple and we were allowed to be "US." We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary while there. Relaxing

Staying on this east side of the island, away from the busy west side, was very relaxing. We were all able to relax on the deck, watch the ocean, and soak in the Honduran mountains. The experience provided us with much needed down time. When we take vacations, it's the people that we remember the most. Mabel and Samantha made amazing meals while George made our kids laugh. They are all so accepting. Lastly, Jerri provided the quickest responses that I have ever experienced from a VRBO host. Roatan will not be forgotten.

A Special Place

This beautiful property is truly a special place. Our family of 11 had a safe and enjoyable experience leaving us all wanting to stay much longer than we had planned. The house is perfect in every way. We had all that we could ever want as far as amenities, with a big kitchen for cooking many large meals, comfortable beds, and views to soothe our souls. It was much more than we had expected, but with all that said, it was not what made our time extraordinary. We contribute that feeling to the people we met in this secluded corner of paradise. Jerri was helpful in every way while planning our time, answering all of my questions with much more information than I could ever expect. Her entire team made us feel at home from the minute we met them. Dave took care of us from the airport to Oakridge and back, along with our day trip around the island, Abrain made our Tikiboat and Mangrove Tour absolutely perfect, and the entire staff at The Reef House made us feel part of the family as they took me and my four kids scuba diving and we spent time with them next door. What can we say about Mabel and George, the heart and soul of our trip…we enjoyed every second we could with them. From Mabel’s wonderful cooking and infectious smile, to George’s helpful hands and happy demeanor at every turn, we learned about the area and the island culture from these perfectly chosen ambassadors and look forward to coming back to a place and people who have touched our hearts forever.

A group of 10 us has the most wonderful time here! Communication with Jerri was the best I’ve ever had with any host both before and during the trip. Mabel and George, the house managers, were able to accommodate our every need and were always available. Mabel made dinner one night too and it was the best meal we had the whole time we were there! We had a wonderful time in Roatan. Jerri was very responsive and helpful with communication. Mabel and George were very helpful during the stay with setting up transportation, checking in during the stay and giving recommendations. We will definitely go back. I wish we would have booked our stay longer there. We brought snorkeling gear with us, which was awesome to use in the beautiful water to watch fish and seashells. Far exceeded expectations!!

Wow! Where to start! This house was clean, well maintained and clearly loved by the caretakers and locals! The communication with the property owner was excellent, she was prompt and knowledgeable. The staff was INCREDIBLE! From our driver (Dave) to our personal caretaker (George) and the other impressive staff (Courtney and Miss Dottie) - they made the whole experience! We had no idea what to expect but the whole process was SEAMLESS! From our car transport, to the grocery store, to the boat transport and unpacking! They were all there with smiles! The Reef House next door is perfect! The food is great, the drinks are awesome and their staff and owners goes above and beyond! This was our group of 6’s first time to Honduras and we had no idea what to expect! This East side house was perfect for everything we wanted! We went fishing, did a tiki tour, bar hopped around the keys and so much more. WE WILL BE BACK! Couldn’t be more impressed with the whole process!

Excellent "off the beaten path" stay

The house is tucked away with terrific views and snorkeling right off the porch! Mabel and George, along with Dottie and Sammie took excellent care of us (absolutely worth hiring them!). There was plenty to do and see. (We would advise, doing one shopping trip for specific items like a special wine and otherwise leave it to Mabel. We would also advise staying in West End for a night or two if your group requires more instant entertainment and then spend the rest of the time at Jerri's relaxing. We were content to relax and there are excursions in Oak Ridge.) Overall, a great trip; we're hoping to get back!

Fantastic Vacation!

My 85 year old mother and I had a wonderful time staying in Roatan. The home was beautiful and comfortable. The views were spectacular and we were taken care of like family. There was so much to do and so much to see, however, we were still able to live the Island Life and relax and enjoy out time there. Hidden gem

This was my second time staying here and it never disappoints! The staff and host are so kind and helpful and always eager to improve your stay in any way they can. The property is super comfortable, clean and spacious and you couldn’t ask for a better location. The view of the ocean from the porch is stunning and it’s so nice to be able to just walk a few feet to the water whenever you want. One of the best parts is that you’re right on the reef so you get to see all types of aquatic animals. This has become one of my favorite places to stay my whole family loves it because it offers something for everyone. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Best House Ever!

We had the most amazing 5mo. on this property. I just can’t say enough good things. Mabel the house manager took care of our every need. She cared for us like family. Courtney & Abrian helped us so much it was amazing. We now call them friends. The house is literally on the reef. Snorkeling & scuba diving right out the door. The waves crashing at night lulled us to sleep. The kitchen came with everything you needed. The furniture was comfortable and the air conditioners in the bedrooms were awesome. George our handyman / captain helped us with all our needs and kept the property looking nice. We made lasting friendships in an amazing location. A real bonus was having The Reef House Resort next door. When you want food and fun it’s right next door. Our Host was amazing. Any issues that came up were dealt with promptly and very easy to work with. We were there 5mo and we did not want to leave. We felt like the community wrapped their arms around us and welcomed us with love!! The ocean breezes were perfect. The sea pool in front was amazing. We saw octopus & all kinds of creatures. The best winter abroad we have ever had.
