Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was fine. The pool was nice. Unfortunately the hot tub did not work. The desk clerks didn’t seem to know a lot about the area. It also seemed like they did not have consistent policies. It would have been helpful to get clear information about the Mayo Clinic shuttle. Overall our stay was nice

We were not put close to the elevator like I was told, but we made it work. The front counter staff was nice but busy at times of checking in (2 people on)and out (1 person on). The phone was constantly ringing this morning, but the guy was very professional about it.

The condition of the room was a bit dated. The biggest advantage to staying there is the excellent van service… they even took us to restaurant and picked us up. It is very convenient to Mayo Clinic and hospital.

Room smelled musty. Furniture way outdated, torn and worn. The mattress was like sleeping on concrete. All faucets leaked. Tile floors felt scummy and I felt like I needed to wear shoes the whole time. A/C and through wall fan was so loud I couldn’t hear the tv. The front desk asked for my debit card multiple times for incidental fees but told me there would not be an extra charge but charged me twice @ $25. Ivy vines were taking over the building. They should not in any way, shape or form be affiliated with Soldiers Field. Never again.

I have stayed here 2x before and not much has changed. I don't mind dated but things not working is very irritating. The ac could not cool the bedroom and it was not even that hot out, the fridge door would not stay shut, the shower did not drain properly. Will not be staying here again.

I’ve stayed at a number of places for Mayo visits and this place is top of my list. Service is top notch, the breakfast offering is much better than others, and the restaurant was incredible. I had a diet restriction for testing I was having done and the restaurant manager made sure I was taken care of with something that wasn’t even on the menu!

Declining Hotel

The restaurant is why people stay here; the rooms and the rest are in poor shape and in steady decline for the past three years. The bathroom didn't work in my room. Pretty disgusting. It should do better as many are visitors to Mayo. Needs to improve or close.

Trip was to get medical treatment at Mayo Clinic. Hotel is very conveniently located and has good shuttle service. The extended stay room left a lot to be desired (eg, no heat thermostat, microwave didn’t work, appliances were old).

Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. OK, we stayed for six nights, since we had appointments at the Mayo Clinic - I feel like the hotel goes out of its way to feel like your “home away from home” while in Rochester. I’d definitely stay there again!
