This new Cape Style home on six secluded acres has beautiful mountain vistas and is a perfect peaceful getaway any time of the year. Centrally located near both 7 Springs and Hidden Valley ( 5 miles to either) nestled between Laurel Ridge and Laurel Hill State Parks and near the Great Allegheny Passage for countless outdoor recreational opportunities. This spacious home has an open floor plan featuring a Cathedral style window wall flooding the living areas with natural light, opening onto a furnished wrap around deck. The first floor includes a master bedroom queen size with full bath and walk in closet. A second queen bedroom and a full bath with tub/shower. Fully equipped kitchen, full size laundry. The open concept living area has a wood burning fireplace and a 42" flat screen Smart TV and a Bose stereo/cd player. The second floor loft houses a quiet retreat with its wood ceiling and cozy reading area. It also provides a bedroom with two double beds and an ensuite bathroom featuring a multi jet glass shower. A single bed sleeping area is tucked away at the top of the stairs. Private yet accessible peaceful and serene with seasonal activities all year long.

We had a great ski weekend at this house! Everything was clean and well kept. The rooms and kitchen had everything we needed for the whole family. The house is very kid friendly. Very convenient to get to seven springs resort. Jim was super friendly and responsive! Would absolutely recommend a stay here

Amazing long weekend stay tucked away in the snow! Very quiet and peaceful location but still close drive to ski resorts ! Rooms and everything looked the exact same as anticipated and fireplace was a great addition to the trip.

Cabin was decorated nicely, it was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Only 15 minutes from 7-Springs and 5 minutes from a nice state park with a beach. The pizza oven was a fun activity for the family to make their own pizzas for dinner.

The property was immaculate and so spacious! Well equipped kitchen with nice quality appliances and utensils etc. Be sure to bring paper towels and extra trash bags for kitchen if doing lots of cooking. The host was very easy to contact, kind, and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We are hoping to return soon, and I recommend this place to everyone!

This property was a perfect place to get away with good friends! The owner personally called before our stay and went over details of the house and its amenities. The house itself was nicely equipped and clean; the outdoor pizza oven and beautiful views from the deck were a highlight of our stay. Our group would love to stay again here in the future!

My family and I couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. From the sprawling picturesque outdoor scenery to the comfortable, homey vibe inside, every detail was spot on. The layout of the house was especially optimal for our 4 teenagers. We also enjoyed the pizza oven. It added a unique experience to an already wonderful weekend. We would be delighted to stay again should we ever find ourselves near Rockwood. We will also highly recommend this property should anyone we know be traveling that way. Many thanks for a much needed, top notch weekend getaway.

Wonderful Place & Amazing Owner

We had a wonderful weekend getaway as a family of four with two young sons. Jim is so nice and accommodating, and you can tell how much he cares about his guests’ experience. He clearly communicated procedures and offered great recommendations. The home is clean and beautifully maintained and the setting is peaceful and serene. My 3-year-old son keeps asking to go back. We highly recommend and hope to return soon!

Wonderful and spacious home in the Laurel Highlands

The location was very picturesque. The house was very well maintained and modern. Great place to hold a retreat for our church's leadership. I had a pleasant time staying here for two days in the summer. There are lots of hiking trails nearby, and even a great deal of land to explore at the house. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Place, Great Location

We loved our stay at 7 Springs! The house is very cozy and roomy. Super close to 7 Springs resort (less than 15 minutes). I'm rarely this forthcoming and friendly about the places we stay at but I found everything about the home to be great. The rooms, bathrooms, woodburning fireplace, kitchen pots/pans, etc...were all fantastic and Jim was great to deal with and was super responsive to our questions. We were there during the winter so we didn't get a chance to explore the surroundings too much but the accommodations outside of the house seemed like they would be great as well.

A perfect ski retreat!

Lovely property. The owner of the property is so kind and even called us a few days before the arrival date to provide extra info about the property. About 15 minutes from Seven Springs ski resort and make sure you have at a minimum all-wheel-drive vehicles.

Great cabin/house in the woods!

Everything was great. Jim was very informative when he gave us property information for check-in. The house was clean and welcoming...he even had the fire place ready to start, so all we had to do was light it! Check in and out was easy and the place was well stocked. If there is snow, you will need 4-wheel or all wheel drive. We wish we would have been able to stay longer!

Gorgeous house and great location for seven springs

Jim’s place was perfect for our ski weekend. 15 minutes from Seven Springs and we could sled down his driveway. Pro tip would be to bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle - our minivan couldn’t make it up the driveway but we managed just fine (had to walk our bags up). Place is way more updated/modern than the pictures show. Overall it was fabulous and very clean/well stocked. We would definitely stay again. Jim is a very kind and helpful host. Enjoy!

Perfect Ski Getaway with our Family and Friends

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Barnview. The location was just a short distance from Seven Springs where we skied for the weekend. When we weren't skiing, we cooked using the well-stocked kitchen, played many games, and watched football. We especially enjoyed the fireplace that kept us warm and comfortable during our stay. We'll definitely be back.

Darn Mother Nature!

We booked the property for a family get-away and ski trip. The house was beautiful and immaculate. The view from the house of the surrounding farm and rolling hills was breathtaking. That being said, unfortunately Mother Nature decided to dip the temperature that day to -9 and the pipes at the property were frozen. Jim (owner) visited the property in the morning and made sure the drive was plowed, heat was on and all was well. The temps dipped in the afternoon before we arrived. Jim was responsive and very apologetic. He initiated a full refund. We will definitely book again and look forward to enjoying this beautiful property. For those traveling to ski at Seven Springs, it is only a 7 minute drive from the resort. I recommend having a 4-wheel drive as there are some hills to climb.
