We stayed in an ocean view room with a balcony and really enjoyed that space. The location of the hotel was convenient for visiting Gros Morne park. There is a restaurant and a pub in the hotel, both overlooking the harbour. The kitchen party we attended in the pub was great fun, and an excellent value for the $ 15 charged. Rooms could have been cleaner but are of good size and include a fridge and a table. There are dining options within walking distance of the hotel.

A nice hotel right across the road from the water. Outside the hotel is large, brightly coloured and lovely. The rooms on the lower floor have a small patio. The rooms on the upper floor have baconies. This is a very busy hotel. All rooms on the front of the building have water views. The rooms on the back have a view of the privacy fence. Next time I'll ask for a room on the water facing side. The staff were great but hallway noise was loud. I would stay again.

Two night stay

Mix up at check in, I reserved in annex. Another guest with same first name was mistakenly checked into my room. This took about 20 minutes to straighten out. I feel breakfast or something should have been comped. Was there a price difference in bookings? There was no apology for the error. Upstairs breakfast crew provided great service. Downstairs pub crew seems overworked and stressed.

Had a great night at the Ocean View. Only problem was no fan in the bathroom which made the walls and mirror very steamy. Hard to do hair and makeup with so much steam after a shower.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but a bit on the small side. It was nice that we were able to pull our vehicle right up outside our room and unload there. The first night my husband enjoyed having a drink in the upstairs bar. His server, Tiffany, was fantastic. The following night we tried to eat in the pub downstairs, but were not able to because it was booked by tour groups for a show. It was disappointing that we couldn’t sit in the bar as patrons of the hotel. We then sat on the patio to have dinner. The service was terrible. It took forever for them to take our orders. Other guests were also very vocal in their displeasure. Then it started to rain, and because of the booking inside, we were not allowed to go inside. The location was great however, very nice to walk the waterfront.

Old and outdated unfortunately. Elevator wouldn't stop on the floor exactly, causing issues if you were using a luggage cart (couldn't get it off!). Everything was worn down. Pool was a scary experience, felt a bit like being in a dungeon. 2 chairs available

Great location. Bad attitude by the lady up at the Bistro upstairs. We didn't know you needed reservations. Both nights at 4 am someone was hammering in the maintenance room next door. Patio was great as was staff. Starting to get a little outdated. (The room)
