Great stay in Rome

I had a great time in Rome and the apartment was a good spot to get acquainted with the city. I enjoyed my stay very much and was able to cook meals in the evening with a local butcher nearby and other small businesses. There were some previous concerns raised about the mattress and the shower. I found the mattress comfortable and the shower was comparable to most of Europe. Overall, a great stay.

Like staying on a friend's couch

The only redeeming feature of this property is its amazing wraparound balcony. Otherwise, it has an uncomfortable sofa bed with horrible flat pillows, a tiny shower that trickles out water and scalds you every time you accidentally hit the lever while trying to manuever around in it. No frills, not even coffee, and I ended up eating cereal out of a mug for lack of bowls. I cut short my stay by one night and splurged on an actual hotel, eating up the cost in favour of a proper night's sleep and shower. Very disappointing.
