We had a great stay in Rome at Rodolfo's place. He gave very helpful directions when we arrived so we didn't need to drag our luggage up the hill. Shirly showed us around and was very helpful. We appreciated Rodolfo's prompt response when we reached out. The house is located centralized to most of the areas you would want to visit and is very close to the Vatican City. Rodolfo's place was perfect for our family of four to visit Rome.

Not what we expected but OK

When we booked this it was listed as 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom, which was perfect for 2 adult couples. At some point it changed to 1 bathroom but we were not aware of this until we got there. The location is good, walking distance to many things. It is situated in the middle of a steep hill on a one way road and many taxis will not go up the road due to narrowness. We walked up the hill to the hospital and used the taxi app to call for a taxi any time we needed to. The apartment was good for us as we did not spend much time in it.

Quiet and quirky apartment

Nice, quiet neighborhood, close to bus line into central Rome. Owner communicated well and reached out to help with issues. Lots of Rome reference material for information. Felt very safe. Apartment only has 1 bathroom, not two. WIFI was spotty. But overall, we would stay there again.

The Hill

The property is in a close enough location to most highlights of Rome. For anyone who has mobility issues it will be challenging. There were 4 of us travelling Taxis refused to drop you off at the property due to the narrow street and opted out to Drop you off either at the top of the hill salita Di sant’onorfrio and via dil Gianicolo or piazza Della Rovere. It made it challenging with luggage.

Pleasant stay in a convenient location.

This place absolutely felt like a home away from our home. Well located near public transportation, all amenities for our family of four. Rodolfo gave us hints to make our trip special and was there when we needed help (how to call a taxi, etc.)

Does the owner really want people to rent this unit.

The check in process was too complicated. There were too many rules and comments about “rude” guests. A door stop sticking up from the floor and the loose tile over the shower drain in the upper bathroom was very slippery and dangerous. The pillows and beds could also be better. We did appreciate the location, though.

Location Doesn't Get Better!

Spent a few weeks at Rodolfo's wonderful apartment in Trastavere. Excellent location; just a 10 minute walk to St. Peter's and all the wonderful restaurants in Trastavere. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Rodolfo is a great communicator and helped us in every way during our stay, including ordering a taxi to take us to the airport at the end. Just wonderful. We would stay again!

Best place in Rome

This place was the perfect spot for our family to spend a week. The host, Rodolfo, was very friendly, funny, prompt in responses, and attentive to details. The apartment is located in the best place to see all of the sights in Rome, but quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. Just a short walk down the hill brought you to the river, the Castel, and the basilica. A short walk up the hill brought you to the best views, and a lovely walk down into Trastevere. We would definitely come stay here again. We thoroughly loved our time here. Thank you. Grazie mille!!

Great location on quiet street!

Our family of 4 stayed for 8 nights. The location is very convenient to many must-see places. Sleeping in was great as there was no noise from outside at all. The kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the wall-mounted safe. The water pressure and on-demand hot water were amazing. We had a couple snags that the owner addressed very quickly. Overall it was a great stay!

Secure in Rome

As 3 women travelling together it was a very secure property. The rules posted throughout the apartment were off putting... a little over the top but certainly some were relevant. Perhaps a little editing is called for. The location was excellent, the airconditioning wondeful. English subtitles on the tv would have been welcome. It was quiet, lots of hot water , and very clean.

The most wonderful stay in the Eternal City

We rented this property in Sept 19 for a long weekend break to celebrate my 50th birthday! The communication with the owner, Rodolfo was fantastic, he was so quick to answer all my questions (of which there were many!) and the check in was seamless - particularly given we arrived quite late on the Friday night. We were greeted by a charming gentleman who let us in to the apartment and showed us around - he was also very happy to answer our questions about how to get breakfast in the morning and showed us the map and pointed out key places to visit. The flat was exactly as described, clean, well equipped and the location was simply fantastic. We walked everywhere! 10 mins to Trastevere, 10 mins to Vatican City (if not nearer) and just across the river from all key sites. We couldn't have been happier! After 3 nights we were sad to say goodbye and would highly recommend this gem of an apartment to anyone visiting Rome - thank you Rodolfo!

Great location!

Apartment is as photographed. The location is excellent. Handicapped would have difficulty with walking the steep hill and sometimes taxis cannot drive up. We called it “heartbreak hill”. Everything was okay but there was no air conditioning for two nights and on the third night it only worked downstairs. It was hot. Owner sent over fans and said open windows but we were hot nevertheless. (He will say it was fixed but it was not.) Internet was also out - owner said it was supplier. I gave four stars because the space was fine and location was good. There was one towel per person and the pillows were flat. We did just fine.
