As expected!

Honestly, I would rate this a 4.5 stars if I were able to. The location is fantastic. You can get to almost anywhere in Rome in under 30 minutes walking. We found some great restaurants in the neighborhood and absolutely loved the area. The only reason I am downgrading it just a touch is for two reasons. First, you have to understand that there are many levels of steps to climb to get to the apartment. If you have any mobility issues or are unsteady on your feet, or even aren't in the best shape, the steps might be a challenge for you. There were definitely a couple of nights where we relied on the handrail more after a long day exploring Rome :-)The second is pretty minor and not really an issue with the apartment per se. We stayed at the end of July and it was particularly hot in Rome when we were there. The first day we were there it took the wall mounted AC unit a while to cool things down to make it more comfortable. By the second day, we were pretty good to go. So keep in mind that if you are unused to the extreme Rome, heat and humidity in the middle of the summer, you'll just need to give it some time to cool off so it's more comfortable. A decent sized fan for the apartment would have definitely helped with sleep the first night. All in all, a very nice day and would recommend.

Great location, comfortable, and clean.

We were very pleased with this unit. Hard to beat the location and the proximity to local shops and restaurants in the area. The host was able to meet us at our check-in time and showed us the property details which was helpful, even allowing us to drop off our bags while the unit was being cleaned.Beds were comfortable enough and everything in the unit seems to function as expected. I definitely recommend this location and would stay again on a return visit.

Charming apartment in the heart of Rome’s Ponte neighborhood—surrounded by great restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops. The location is fantastic, with major sights within walking distance and easy taxi access. The apartment is cute, functional, and well-equipped with a full kitchen. Our late check-in was smooth, thanks to the accommodating host. Just a heads-up: it’s on the 4th floor with no elevator, so carrying luggage up can be a challenge—especially for families. Also, water pressure is spotty at times, which is expected in older Roman buildings. Overall, a lovely stay—best suited for light travelers or younger guests.

Good Basic Accommodations in Central Rome

Our family spent a few nights in this property at the outset of our vacation. The property was good overall but very basic. There was a lack of overall supplies that we have become accustomed to at other VRBOs we have rented. Paper towels, hand towels, dish towels, hand soaps etc. were lacking. We worried about running out of toilet paper for our two-night stay. A little more would have gone a long way. The hot water in the shower was only warm at best, and the AC took the edge off the heat but didn't cool the unit as one would normally expect. (Outside temperatures were in the mid-30s C in fairness) There was a laundry machine but no dryer which precluded us from doing laundry. The check-in process was manual and we had to wait 15 minutes outside to meet a property representative, but they were very helpful and nice when they arrived. Automation would be nice but likely very difficult given the age and nature of the building. The stairs to the unit were difficult with luggage, I would not recommend it for someone with limited fitness although the unit's representative was more than happy to assist. The pullout couch could be replaced with something a bit more comfortable. The location was excellent and the unit served our needs while in Rome. A few little extras from the host would go a long way. This unit is ultimately a question of value and price. If it's price competitive for basic accommodations then it may be a good option.

Great neighbourhood!

It was pretty good. The neighbourhood was so charming. Great little eateries so close! The check in was a little tough as the street signs aren’t very apparent. Best thing to do is get very detailed directions from Domizio managers. They were very helpful. The place is charming…the A/C is ok but not fantastic. I strongly recommend you turn off ALL lights…especially the stove lights as they heat up the apartment a great deal. I wish we could stay here again. It’s a great little place! Thanks so much Lucrezia and colleagues!

Poor communication

I received an email communication stating what the expectations were in terms of the check-in process. The email also stated a driver could meet us at the airport upon request. I requested a driver and was told that's not a service they are currently offering. I was given two numbers of people to call to meet us at the property for check-in. The first number did not work . We called the second number and they agreed to meet us in an hour. They were an hour late and very difficult to get in touch with after that first phone call. We had no idea if we were in the correct location and tried calling them to confirm that we were. Since they were so late and without the courtesy of letting us know we stressed that we were in the wrong place. We were not in the wrong place. They were just late. By an hour.

Exactly as had hoped for!

The flat was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Absolutely perfect location (couldn’t have asked for a better place) as it was close to everything you could have needed and or wanted. Very close to water fountains for refilling, amazing restaurants (highly recommend Guilin Passami L’Olio - we went three times!!), walking distance to the Vatican and Trevi and Pantheon, etc. The flat had basic amenities but we did have to buy our own paper towels and additional toilet paper. AC was great and cooled down the space quite well. The beds were quite comfortable which helped after a long day. Alice, our point of contact, was great and very helpful and answered all our questions whenever I had one. I would 100% stay here again.

Location Location Location!

My family had an amazing time in Rome. The location of this apartment was perfect. Almost centered between the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain made this so easy for us to walk from place to place. The only negative would have to be that there are alot of steps to make it to the apartment but then again that is what gives its views on the balcony of the rooftops. When in Rome expect to do alot of walking anyway! Highly recommend.

Fantastic location with shopping, restaurants and central to the attractions that Rome has to offer. The stairs are a bit of an issue. No elevator and 3 to 4 floors to climb, if you're for its fine.

Super location/ comfortable stay

When I made this reservation, I didn’t fully appreciate what a wonderful location it was, just off a charming street filled with restaurants and shops. (But tucked away and high enough to be very quiet.) From there, nearly everything is a brief walk. The flat itself is a great combination of charming old building that’s been newly renovated. Also good to know in the middle of Rome summer, the ac works well.

Beautiful and clean

The apartment is beautiful and very clean. Remodeled recently, everything is in great condition. The AC works great and you can control it with a remote. No AC in the kitchen or bathrooms but it stays reasonably cool when the other rooms are cooled. The beds are very comfortable. Our teens loved sleeping in the loft area, it's very big and they could stand up in one area of the loft. The bedding was very nice, higher end, and comfortable. The stairs are the worst part, lots of stone stairs that are hard to climb at the end of a long day of walking. Still worth it but you should be aware you need to lug your stuff up and down those three flights of stairs. The view from the apartment is charming and gorgeous. There is a little patio so if you needed to smoke you probably could use that (we don't smoke). This is located not far from Castle San Angelo (sp?), the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. There are cafe's, leather stores, and all types of stores in the same neighborhood. It's within walking distance of many places to eat. I would stay here again and would recommend this place. The check-in is easy, they have someone meet you at the apartment and show you how everything works. Would have been nice if the guy texted (he did not) but otherwise a very good experience.

Cozy, comfortable apartment in Rome

This was an ideal location for us - a little bit out of the main crush on a quiet side street, but really close to everything we wanted to visit. You have to be okay with walking up the stairs to the top floor of the house, but the views and apartment are great. A kind of oasis in the midst of walking on the busy and crowded streets and sites of Rome. Gelato del Teatro around the corner is not to be missed - unanimous favorite of all of the gelaterie we ate at throughout Italy.

Great location, cute apartment.

We stayed as a family of four. Two kids of 15 and 11. There was enough room for us all but cozy. One on the couch, one up in the loft and we were on the bed. The one criticism was that it wasn’t well stocked. Short on blankets and stingy on towels. Lots of steps which weren’t a problem for us but should be considered if you aren’t that spry. Cleanliness was good. Can’t say enough about the location. We had an awesome time.

Location is incredible!

This apartment was perfection! Amazing customer service gives it the 5th star! My family of three was more than comfortable here for five nights. We walked to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Vatican, and two of the top museums (Palazzo al Temps and Museo di Roma). We also walked to the closest bridge over the Tibre several evenings to look at the Vatican and Castel Sant' Angelo. Don't miss Via del Governo Vecchio for shops/restaurants/drinks/gelato/groceries! Dinners were amazing in our quiet but bustling area, and the kitchen is equipped for cooking as well. We were met by Olga and she was very helpful with text message questions when we needed. The company that manages this rental was great to work with. There was no language barrier and once we connected on WhatsApp, we were all set to go. The photos are exactly correct. This apartment is on the 6th floor, so be prepared for steps, this was not a deterrent for us, as the location makes up for it! Wifi was awesome, and we didn't really use the tv.

Great apartment awesome location!

The location of this apartment is perfect for Rome sightseeing! Easy short walk to Piazza Navona, the river and Vatican, with the Coliseum and other sights just a little further. We were able to walk everywhere. The immediate neighborhood has great shops, restaurants and delicious gelatarias. The rep from the agency was helpful and responsive throughout our stay and spoke English fluently. The apartment is clean and modern and comfortable. The second bed is in a loft in the only bedroom so it is close quarters. Five flights to walk up but no complaints.
