The services in this guest house are really below average. There is no front desk staff after 5pm on Sundays and after 7pm during the week. Security is lacking. The elevator was not available and I had to drag my bags up to the 5th floor. THe code to enter the building is very clearly (TOO clearly) marked on the entry security pad. I found the front door to the building and to each floor wide open and unattended one evening when I returned at 6:30. The a/c malfunctioned one night when the outside temps were over 30--the room was even hotter. Because there is no night staff, I had no one to contact after midnight when the a/c broke. The breakfast is meager and most pastries are pre-packaged in plastic. Only the coffee was freshly made. On the plus side the room was clean and modern and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was convenient to the train station and the university. I transferred to a real hotel nearby and had a much more positive experience for only a few more euros per night.
