My sister and I stayed in this lovely well-equipped apartment for a week in April. Located literally on the Spanish Steps, it is the perfect base for exploring and experiencing both the ancient and the modern that coexists in this amazing city. While the area can be crowded and noisy, amazingly the apartment was not! It was very quiet… A huge plus! Also, we can’t say enough wonderful things about Paola and Karina who helped us before, during, and after our stay, My sister and I are both in our 70s and needed help getting to and from the apartment with our luggage. The apartment is on the Piazza and up some ancient stone stairs, which, while they added to the authentic character of the building, would not have been fun to drag luggage up. Especially with both of us having knee issues! They helped with a driver from the airport and a Porter to handle the bags. They were also available whenever we needed them throughout our stay. Finally, if you stay here, leave enough time in your day to have morning coffee or evening drinks on the charming little terrace off the upstairs bedroom.

This apartment is lovely and in such an excellent location that we were able to walk to most of our sightseeing and to many good restaurants. If we were unable to walk, taxis were very close by. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of a lively part of Rome. We would definitely stay here again.

BEST LOCATION!!! Right next to the Spanish Steps so made it easy navigating to all the places. Paola and Karina were amazing and very attentive/timely to any requests… we needed a little help with adjusting the temperature and they actually came back to help. There are a couple flights of steps to go up to get to the apartment, so if you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. The beds were comfortable and rooms with adequate space. The laundry was convenient but do note, it take a couple of “drying” cycles if there is a large load for your clothes not to be damp. Would DEFINITELY stay here again!

A Magical Stay at the Heart of Rome! Our stay at Paola's Magic Terrace Apartment on the Spanish Steps was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty, charm, and elegance of the space. The apartment is absolutely stunning—immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, and filled with natural light. Waking up each morning just steps away from one of Rome’s most iconic landmarks felt like a dream. The location could not be more perfect. Being right at the Spanish Steps allowed us to experience the energy and romance of Rome at our doorstep, while still enjoying the peace and privacy of a well-appointed home. We walked everywhere—Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, incredible shops, world-class restaurants, and charming gelaterias were all just minutes away. The terrace was the highlight of our stay. Enjoying coffee in the morning and relaxing in the evening with panoramic views of the city made us feel like true Romans. The apartment’s amenities were excellent, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided.A special thank you to Karina, who greeted us warmly and made check-in simple and seamless. Her hospitality set the tone for a wonderful week. This apartment is truly a gem—beautiful, luxurious, and perfectly located. We cannot recommend the Magic Terrace Apartment highly enough and would return in a heartbeat. Five stars in every way!

Stay on the Spanish Steps

This apartment was very clean and right next to the Spanish Steps. The metro was just a couple blocks away which made traveling quite easy. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. The apartment did come with lots of rules. For example, we were asked not to touch the walls or decorations. We were not allowed to roll the suitcases over the wooden floors and had to make sure we didn't get any of the floors wet. This was easy for us since we were all adults, but it might be harder for families with small children.

Beautiful, historic apartment & wonderful host!

You could not find a better location in Rome than this apartment! The entrance to the building is right next to the Spanish Steps, and at the top of the terrace you are actually right at the steps themselves. It is walking distance to many shops and restaurants as well as the Metro to give you quick access to all the main tourist attractions around the city. While the street is extremely crowded and noisy, you don't hear any of that from inside the apartment itself. Paola is one of the most communicative and accommodating hosts I've encountered through years of renting! She provides all the information you need to know before arrival and gives guests a quick tour of the apartment during the check-in process, highlighting the amenities and providing recommendations for what to do in the area. She was also able to coordinate drivers for our arrival and departure, which made the travel extremely easy (something my family very much appreciated at the end of our long & busy trip to Italy). The apartment is beautifully furnished and very comfortable - we only wish that our stay had been longer so we could have enjoyed that even more!
