St. Eligio 2BDR was great! It has a beautiful view albeit over the road, but overlooks the stunning trees lining the river. The apartment was clean and tidy with everything you needed. Nicely decorated bedrooms and bathrooms. Frederico the owner was very quick to answer and queries we had - and accommodated our early arrival 12pm. It is a beautiful 20 min walk to the Vatican with views of the beautiful bridges. Pantheon, Spanish Steps only 15 walk - 30 mins walk to Colosseum. Campo de Fiore square is 5 mins walk away, it has a great bustling market during the day and all change for the evening with tables outside for dining and a cheeky Aperol spritz or two! Having not been to Rome before, we were apprehensive about where we had picked to stay (although had looked for best areas in Rome) we were not disappointed!! Great bars and shops on the Centro Storico side as well as lovely walk in the evening over the Ponte Sisto footbridge to the lively area of Trastevere. I would definitely stay in this apartment/area again and have advised friends considering going to Rome to check this out.
