The Prati neighborhood is one of the most charming areas of Rome, known for its elegant architecture and lively atmosphere. Located just a short walk from the Vatican, Prati is characterized by wide tree-lined streets, Art Nouveau buildings, and high-fashion shops.

Via Cola di Rienzo is one of the main thoroughfares, famous for its boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. The neighborhood is also an important residential area, frequented by families and professionals.

Additionally, Prati is well-connected to the rest of the city, with numerous public transport options making it easy to get around. Among the points of interest, there are also several museums and monuments, such as the Museum of the Roman Republic and the Risorgimento.

The area is ideal for peaceful walks, thanks to its parks and squares, like Piazza Mazzini. The combination of history, culture, and modern life makes Prati a unique place to explore.
Furthermore, Prati offers a variety of culinary experiences, with restaurants ranging from traditional Roman cuisine to more innovative proposals. There are also artisan gelaterias and historic cafes where you can enjoy a great coffee or dessert.

The neighborhood is known for its markets as well, like the Prati Market, where you can find fresh and local products. The nightlife is vibrant, with bars and venues that liven up the evenings, especially on weekends.

Another interesting feature is the presence of educational and cultural institutions, such as schools and libraries, which contribute to an intellectually stimulating atmosphere.

Prati is also well-served by green spaces, such as the Giardino degli Aranci, providing a tranquil refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. In short, it’s a neighborhood that manages to combine history, modernity, and a lively community, making it a very appreciated place by both residents and tourists.
Prati is well-connected to many of Rome's main points of interest, making it a great starting point for exploring the city.

In about 15 minutes will get you to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Campo de' Fiori. Additionally,

Eleanora is a fantastic host. Incredible communication. Very detailed instructions for everything. Yes, the bathroom is small but who cares. The apartment was very very clean and had everything we needed. It’s a nice quiet safe area. We have no complaints at all. Well done.

We had a wonderful stay at Terry’s House in Rome and would absolutely recommend it to others. The location was fantastic—just about a 1-minute walk to the entrance of the Vatican Museums, around 15 minutes to the Ottaviano metro station (which made it easy to get around the city and even take trips to places like Florence and Naples via Roma Termini), and roughly 20 minutes to St. Peter’s Square. There were also plenty of great restaurants nearby, so finding good food was never an issue. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the dining table and living room setup made it easy to relax after long days of sightseeing. The couch was comfortable, and the bed was great—we slept very well the entire stay. The shower was excellent as well, with great water pressure and it heated up quickly. The heating also worked very well, and we were always comfortable. Our host was truly wonderful and made us feel very welcome. She provided helpful information about the area and went above and beyond by leaving fresh fruit, delicious treats, bottled water, a beer, and even a bottle of sparkling wine for us. That thoughtful touch really made a difference. The apartment has just one flight of stairs, which was very manageable.Overall, this was a great place to stay in Rome—comfortable, convenient, and hosted by someone who genuinely cares about her guests. We would definitely stay here again.

Eleonoras home was perfect for us, she has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and it is so very quiet. We walked everywhere and the info she shared with us made our stay easier. Our fav restaurant was Lume, just around the corner from our apartment, definitely sit outside and enjoy a great dinner and glass of wine. Also the Mercato Trionfale is a great place to pick up your groceries, it is a true Italian experience. Thank you so much for a great stay.

This was a welcome delight after a long flight. Lee is a wonderful host, very thorough and waiting for our arrival. Definitely use her driver recommendation from FCO to her property! Superb service and only 50 euros.Home is immaculate! Short walk to the entrance to St. Peter’s Square! There is an Osteria down the street down the first set of stairs you encounter on your left. Outdoor dining and lovely food. Book this as it is comfortable and she thought of everything! What you see on her page, is what you receive on check-in. Five star!

Excellent Host and Home

Very clean apartment with everything you need to enjoy Rome. Perfect for 2-3 guests. The host helped us secure a ride from the airport due to it being Easter weekend and lack of taxis. She responded quickly and kept us informed. Very thorough when we checked in to explain how everything worked. We'd stay there again.

Address listed is incorrect and not as advertised

107 Viale Vaticano is not where this apartment is located . It would have been nice to know that the address on VRBO listing is incorrect. The owner tried to explain to me something about 20 years or another and she has obviously had privacy issues that should not be my concern. It is a clear misrepresentation to state one address on VRBO listing and the actual address is about 1/2 a mile up a steep grade. The owner was accommodating and very nice by letting me check in early. Had to pay an occupancy feeIn cash, which was odd. ( only 12 E) The apartment is adorable, comfortable and clean although there’s no “outside space” as mentioned. The shower is tiny so make sure to order extra towels to sop up the water. The money you save is spent on countless uber rides. There is no access to the shops And restaurants. Google maps Shows alley ways that are locked. If you were ONLY going to visit the Vatican museum, the Sistine Chapel, and the Saint Peter’s Basilica than this is a perfect location.

Great Location. Great Hostess

Loved the apartment. Everything we needed. Safe neighborhood and across the street from the Vatican. Comfortable bed. Became our home base as we ventured to Venice and Naples too. Note for us old travelers no elevator. But the place is on the second floor, so not too bad for luggage….. Enjoyed it. And Elenora even sent a car to the airport for us. Thank you for a lovely first trip to Italy!

Wonderful Experience

My aunt and I stayed for a week and had a wonderful experience. Eleonora the host was extremely pleasant to interact with and very helpful. She responded quickly to texts and communicated clearly with us.The location was great, the street is quiet but enough people and traffic to feel safe. It’s walkable to any major tourist attraction you want to see but also close to a metro station. The apartment itself was very clean and well kept. The bed was super comfortable and the couch in the living room was perfect for relaxing. She provided extra toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, anything you might need she seemed to have thought about and provided. We had a wonderful experience and would certainly recommend this place to stay if you are thinking of booking a trip to Rome.

VERY nice stay in Rome.

We LOVED our stay & would stay again, very quiet location and walking distance to most sites. After walking all day we opted to pay a $15-$20 taxi ride home most nights to avoid the hills. From “downtown” Rome where most shops, places to eat/night life it’s around 10-15 min car ride back. The apartment was perfect and exactly as show in pictures. Very beautiful with EXCELLENT air conditioning! **only recommendation, If you like a soft pillow.. pack one :) hard memory foam pillows provided**

Roman retreat with a famous neighbour

I stayed in the Terry’s House apartment late May 2024. Located in Viale Vaticano, the “neighbour” across the road is actually the Pope, as the Vatican Gardens are directly opposite. This apartment was light, airy and well appointed and presented with care. Communication with Eleanora and her team, in particular Riccardo, was excellent, and when there was a small issue with the front gate (not of their making), Eleanora made a special trip to ensure that all was OK for me, which I greatly appreciated. The apartment is in a great location that is safe and near the Cipro Metro station. As Viale Vaticano is a main road, there a bus stops and frequent taxis as well. If you are a light sleeper, you do do need to bear this in mind. The shutters do an effective job in blocking out much of the road noise, but you might need ear plugs as well. The neighbours are very quiet and you hear nothing from the apartments around you. There is a lovely view to the west and you can watch the sun set each evening. I walked mostly and you can reach the major sites on foot, remembering though that Viale Vaticano goes up a hill. Save some energy for the final approach to home! There are plenty of supermarkets for those like me who prefer to cook, as well as countless restaurants and cafés down the hill, mainly around the Ottavio shopping precinct and Metro station. A fabulous spot for a great Roman experience.
