I had paid for five days through my affirm card. When I got to the facility after driving 500 miles it was late at night around 10:30 PM and they wanted $100 deposit. They did not take cash or Venmo and I had to rebook somewhere last minute and it was a very busy weekend in Roseburg, Oregon. This was a horrible experience and I never write bad reviews, but I am saying that this owner really did not serve our family. It was a very disappointing experience and they only gave me two day refund. This was very frustrating because I had already prepaid for the whole time. I was there.

The lady at the front desk was nice. the building is old and for some reasond a dog barked all night. My bathroom smelled really musty too.

Filthy bathrooms

The room was filthy, toilet not cleaned, balls of hair in corners of bathroom and in tub. Some mystery spray on back of bathroom door. Called down to office twice no answer.

No one was at the front desk to check me in when I arrived. There was a bell to ring for assistance, which I did repeatedly for 10 minutes. Still no one. I called the hotel from the lobby to let them know was there, and through the automated answering system got my call transferred to the front desk. I stuff there and listened to the phone at the front desk ring for 2 solid minutes. Still no one showed up. I finally saw a young woman pushing a laundry bin across the parking lot, so I went out and asked her if there was anyone working the front desk. She said “Oh yeah, that’s me. I’ll be there after I drop off this laundry.” Total time to check in was over 15 minutes.

The staff were excellent. That was the best part of our stay. Our first room had a strong cigarette smell. Staff moved us right away to another room however we were downgraded to a smaller room due to being full. Second room had a dirty floor, toilet handle was broken (fell off in the middle of the night) and super noisy rattling AC unit. Breakfast ran out of hot items early.

The property is definitely aged. There was visible wear and damage on many items in our room. In our mini-fridge, there was a salad left in it from the last guest. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom. The grout was very dirty. Overall, the room served the purpose of having a place to lay our heads, but I had hoped for a bit higher standards from a Choice property.
