Wonderful Surprise!

Do you ever feel like stars align, just for you? Well, that was exactly thé expérience we had at Cannyelles. Making the biologie we knew it was going to be nice, but had no idea what a gem we had reserved! The word « beautiful » only begins to describe the location (the prettiest beach cove that i saw in the entire région), and the appartement was modern, spotless, had everytjing e could need. The host was very responsive and we felt warmly welcomed, with fantastic reccomendations. We stumbled intouchable this treasure, but you can believe Madame Frédérique and her property will be visited again by us!

Outstanding property, ideally located, highly recommended

We selected Frederique's property after fairly extensive research and have not been disappointed. From the initial contact Frederique has been super-responsive with her communication and is a delightful person to meet. The apartment is in a small complex of 12, fairly recently built, with underground parking which is very useful in the hot and sometimes dusty conditions near the beach. Rooms are a great size, plenty of cupboard space, and a well equipped kitchen meaning self-catering is a pleasure not a chore. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and a remarkably well-stocked supermarket across the road mean you could actually manage without a car, provided you can actually get to Roses. Air-conditioning is important in August and it works well keeping the entire apartment at a sensible temperature overnight. The apartment faces west, so you do get a little afternoon sun, but not a lot, the terrace is reasonably well shaded so the building doesn't take extreme heat, however between around 5pm and 8pm the terrace is in direct sun. The pool is a good size, occasionally busy but the tiles are dark meaning the water is a good temperature for swimming and lazing about in the water. Activities at the local beach are limited, if you want jet-skis, boat hire, etc etc then you have to go back around the bay to the more commercial main beach at Roses. One caution, the entrance to the car park is quite tight and if you have a larger SUV you may not be able to make it around the tight spiral corner entrance. Our X5 had only a few cm either side and it's a blind corner so you'll need a guide to get in and out without removing paint. The entrance is fairly low so taller cars like a Discovery are unlikely to be able to enter.

1ère ligne avec ses inconvénients...

Assez belles prestations en ce qui concerne l'appartement. Cependant , obligation de dormir les fenêtres fermées: bruits de la route et du bar/restaurant se trouvant à côté ( ouvert trèèès tard . Les balcons sont séparés entre eux par des persiennes, ce qui fait que l'on entend la moindre conversation des personnes d'à côté . Aussi, les copropriétaires de la résidence sont très peu avenant, voire même désobligeants. Pour résumer, à déconseiller.
