What lovely hotel !
In a stunning position on the hill overlooking Roses, Check in was easy and straightforward and the staff so helpful
our room was on the 3rd floor which we had requested for the views there is a lift to take you to all three floors and down to the lower floor where you will find the breakfast, lunch & dinning room
We only had breakfast which was a buffet breakfast, plenty of choice though
( all meals are buffet meals)
There is a bar and games room on the level lower than the dining room very steep steps down or take the lift which is just around the corner from the dining room
Which is a must when you’ve walked up and down the hill a few times into town
The do have a shuttle that goes into Roses a couple of times a day, but not always when you need it so a slow walk up and down was no problem
The pool is a beautiful asset to the hotel over looking the town and bay we used it many times
Drinks in the bar were also good and well priced we drank in here plenty of times and thoroughly enjoyed the sangria €3.50 a glass
This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location, but it is not a modern hotel like some in Roses they are making improvements
But I can not fault this hotel and I would stay again when visiting my family in Figueres
Thank you everyone at Hotel Grecs for a wonderful stay
I’m sure we’ll see you again

Fair
Lovely location, staff were great. Room was basic, bed was extremely uncomfortable. Shower fixture was very temperamental. Free breakfast was very generous, offerings could have been better however.
This could be an amazing hotel, but was let down by the comfort of the bed and the bed coverings, as well as a shower that went from 100° to 15° with no in between temperature.
This property caters for families who want to stay on the property and perhaps make some trips elsewhere by car. The room was basic, but comfortable and semi-spacious, with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean in the distance (across the city of Roses). Staff were very friendly and helpful when I had difficulties with my rental car. I made a side trip to Port Lligat and Cadaques. Port Lligat was laid back with a beautiful harbour and islands protecting it but Cadaques was so crowded that I couldn't find a car park and ended up not stopping there. Luckily it was on the way to/from Port Lligat, so not much of a loss. I didn't spend any time in Roses, so I can't say anything about it.
We took a quick breakout weekend!
We had planned to use hotel, for sleeping only, and going to the beach during the day...
When we checked in, we quickly changed plans... it was all so nice, pool was so good, restaurant had good and affordable meals... We didn't went to the beach, and simply enjoyed pool and hotel!
Loved this hotel. It is a little older, but deserves better than 2 stars. The bathrooms are renovated and super. The balconies/views are quite impressive. The bar prices were reasonable and again, the view from the terrace for dining is spectacular. The pool is huge, crystal clear with a lot of loungers. We will return.
This was our second stay at Grecs Hotel as enjpyed a stay in 2018.
We much liked the friendly reception amd facilities the rooms were well equipped and comfortable all with views and balcony overlooking Roses town and bay.
The buffet meal options were good and tables available under cover overlooking the town.
Wifi is good and convenient free parking immediately outside the hotel.
The hotel is located above the town with great views but while the steep walk back up can be challenging the hotel operates a free mini bus service into Roses Centre.
There is much to see in the area so use of a car is a real benefit to make most of stay.
Hotel is very popular with French visitors who seem to demand high standards particularly with the menu.
Downside is no English Channel on TV but find BBC radio online app very useful on continent.

Lovely views overlooking the bay
Amazing views from room balcony comfy beds friendly staff. In need of some redecoration but generally very pleasant
We had a four day stay at Hotel Grecs as a two centre break following a week in Pineda de Mar and were very impressed feeling the hotel batted well above its two star rating.
The views were outstanding as all rooms overlooked Roses Bay and hotel is located prominently on a hillside.
The hotel was well presented with friendly staff with a thorough daily room service.
Rooms were comfotable and restaurant menu good also with great views and option of covered open area.
Good large pool with loads of sun-beds.
Wi-fi reception was good even in pool area.
Downside is a steep walk down to front but hotel provìdes a twice daily complimentary mini-bus service to seafront area and pick-up plus there is really good secure car parking and this is a good base to explore the rugged natural unspoilt area of Catalonia.
We have stayed at much more expensive hotels in Roses in past with higher star ratings but will be going back to Hotel Grecs in future visits.
We were delighted with the Hotel Grecs, with the views from the hillside into the bay, the swimming pool, and the price. There were just a couple of small points in that the evening buffet food was a little bland though still edible and our beds were a little uncomfortable. We think they could do with being updated.
However, we just loved the hotel and it will certainly be high on our list of revisits.
We used the hotel as a stopover on a family holiday. No complaints and staff were excellent. The pool area was perfect for us. Air conditioning in room was great - not too noisy.
Views over the whole area from all the rooms and from the dining room which is a large balcony. We had a car and it is certainly easier to get there with one though they have a shuttle bus too. The hotel can been seen from most of Roses if you look uphill. Plenty of free parking.
A traditional building with old fashioned wooden shutters on the French windows.
Pool is larger than it looks in the pictures and has the services of a nice quiet lifeguard. Lots of space and sunbeds.
Food is good, atmosphere is relaxed, no enforced jollity, just do as you please.
