Room was ok, some staff not so friendly . The hotel is on the outskirts of town. Not in the middle of things. Only 10-15 minute walk away. Walking through quiet, semi abandoned streets until you get to the heart of town

We loved it. Spacious, clean room, bottles of drink give to us every day. Loved the breakfast. It was perfect. Staff friendly. Loved the decoration in the lobby. Close enough to walk to the train station and the xmas market. Do be aware if you have an early flight that there are no taxis or uber available. You have too walk or drive. This hotel is a 10 minute walk to the train station. book early

Our room was fine, but we were put in a different building (not the one pictured) that was sparse, with no art or pictures on the walls. The carpet in the room was quite stained. We paid 166 Euros after booking it for 116 (extra fees per person!?). The breakfast staff were very friendly, and the location was good, but my bed was on the other side of a wall from the elevator, and it was very disruptive. Every time someone used the elevator, I could feel it and hear it in the wall beside my bed. If you go to this hotel, I highly recommend that you make sure your room is not next to the elevator. It was very hard to sleep.

We had a great time staying at the Hotel Rappen. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice. From the variety of hotels we stayed at during our whole trip, this hotel's breakfast was tied for number one. The proximity to the old town gate was so helpful in maximizing our time in the area. Do not hesitate staying at this lovely property.

Large room, clean with yummy gummy candys on our pillows. Bottles of sparkling water and tea and coffee. Very friendly staffand great loction to old town literally just outside the city walls with beautiful views out our large windows. Free parking and absolutely amazing breakfast free with stay. This was a great hotel. FREE parking and FREE breakfast seemed to be a rarity and was much appreciated. The lot was easy to find and just behind the hotel. From there it was only a few minute walk to the Rathaus and a block to the town wall. The breakfast buffet was INCREDIBLE! So many choices. The room for three was spacious and beds comfortable. Bathroom was fine. Would for sure stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location with parking. We loved being able to walk out the door and be within the mediviel wall in 2 minutes. It's a perfect location to explore the town. It was also close to the bike path, if you plan to bike between towns. The rooms were basic and clean.
