Unique and cool colonial hotel

Prince's Gate is a nice hotel that leans into its colonial history. It is warm and welcoming and the rooms have a style unlike other places in Rotorua. The location is also fantastic. Parking is only available on the street, not on the property.

Loved staying here. Adored the old character of the building and furniture. Was really nice sitting in the relaxing lobby by the fire while having a couple of drinks before dinner. Staff were lovely and friendly.

This is an older hotel, but it was wonderful. The staff was very pleasant. We loved having a glass of wine by the fireplace in the evening. Great location! We would definitely return.

The opportunities to improve was some of the cooking. Meats especially..Pork and pork crackling overcooked as was the Chicken in the Pot pie Breakfast bacon and cinnamon pastry rolls under cooked This cooking affected my rating the staff as 'excellent' Would definitely stay again
