Mount Edgcumbe House on historic Pointe Rapide Estate, is just 45 minutes from Launceston. Overlooking the Tamar River, it is both a world away and a home away from home.
One of the earliest homesteads in Tasmania, which has been inaccessible until now, has been fully refurbished in the finest luxury. Mount Edgcumbe House is, for the first time, open to the public to savour its truly unique serenity.

Guests at Mt Edgcumbe House will have access to the entire house and 37 acres of land at Pointe Rapide Estate. This includes the spectacular garden and river views, walking tracks to the water's edge. Luxury

From the minute we arrived we appreciated all the little treats and luxury features of this property. We loved the bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces. We had difficulty selecting a bedroom, but that was because the choices were richly decorated and oozed comfort. The gardens are delightful and the whole estate was peaceful and quietIn short we were in an oasis of luxury in a beautiful part of the Tamar Valley
