In a sunny and quiet location, at the foot of the Hirschberg and Fähnern, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Alpstein and the Austrian mountains. This unique setting promises an unforgettable holiday where you can get away from it all and immerse yourself in nature.

Our spacious 5 ½ room holiday flat, spread over the 2nd and 3rd floor, offers enough space for up to 7 people. In the lovingly furnished flat you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a living room with pull-out table, corner bench, chairs, TV, CD player, a wall unit, buffet and various games and reading material. The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities such as an egg cooker, toaster, radio, dishwasher and fully automatic coffee machine, while the bedroom has a wardrobe and chest of drawers with mirror.

Outside, you will find an idyllic seating area surrounded by greenery, perfect for relaxing and barbecuing. Great stay.

Really nice and clean house with spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Good localization, close to mountains, city of Appenzell and car ride from St. Gallen. Also, very nice and helpful owners. Communication before arrival also went very smooth.

Avons utilisé la carte de sejour pour monter au Hoher Kaster et Ebenalp. Train pour St Gall. Visite de la fabrique de chocolat, de la fromagerie et de la brasserie Appenzeller. Appenzell MERITE que l'on visite, sa capitale et ses campagnes. A Renouveler.

Herrliche Unterkunft, sehr freundliche Gastgeber und traumhafte, ruhige Lage.

Unsere kleinen Familienferien haben uns in dieser gemütlichen Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen! Wir wurden herzlichst willkommen geheissen, haben alles vorgefunden was wir brauchten und konnten uns wunderbar erholen. Die Lage ist perfekt um Ruhe und eine herrliche Aussicht zu geniessen und zeitgleich sind Appenzell, Skipiste und Bergbahnen nicht weit weg. Schade, dass wir nicht noch länger bleiben konnten. :)

Authentiek, verzorgd, netjes

Een verdieping van een authentieke zwitserse boerderij net buiten Appenzell. Netjes en verzorgd, keurig schoon en hygienisch. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars, die ten alle tijde klaar staan om te helpen, maar toch de privacy in acht nemen. Zeer prettige verblijfplaats met een schitterend uitzicht op het Alpstein-massief. Alleen dit uitzicht ‘s ochtends bij het open doen van de gordijnen is al een reden om hier te gaan slapen.

Great Base for Family Vacation in the Appenzell Region

This home was an excellent base for my husband, young daughter, and me during our visit to the Appenzell Region. It is less than 10 minutes from the actual town of Appenzell, which is very nice, and it was easy to drive to many sights in the region, so the location was excellent! Parking was easy and right next to the house. The apartment itself is quaint, comfortable, and roomy. There was a tub (helpful for those with little kids) with a shower. We did not, but if one were to ski, there would be plenty of storage space. The kitchen is small, but well-equipped, and there is a table in both the kitchen and living room. The apartment is above the home of the family renting the apartment, and there is only a gate at the top of the stairs, but you really only share an entry-way with the family; their home is behind doors on the first floor. The yard is spectacular with rolling hills and a swing set that my daughter enjoyed. Maria, the proprietor, speaks some English, which was helpful since we don't speak German. She and her husband are very kind. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here and would recommend it to others. (Please note, because this is a German language site, it seems to be trying to "translate" my review, already in English, into annoyingly stilted English.)
