Home includes 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards and snow tubes (usage of each is at own risk). Please do not remove any items from the home. Access to home is conveniently just off east-west Hwy 18 about mid way between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. Animals of any kind are not permitted due to family allergies. Great location for year round activities; hiking, biking and off-roading in the summer and a variety of snow sports in the winter. Minutes away from Snow Valley Resort, Snow Drift Tubing Park and Rim Nordic Cross Country Ski Area & Mountain Bike Park. Additional lakes in the area for fishing; Green Valley Lake is about 15min away. Big Bear Lake is about 25min away to the East as well as Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Ski Resorts for even more winter fun. Lake Arrowhead Resort and Village is 20min to the West with shops and amenities. There is also a baseball/softball field (Tucker Field) about 200yards from the house.
The home is situated directly on Arrowbear Lake which is a small seasonal lake and filled by snow melt and rain runoff (the lake may be dry or low depending on precipitation). There are two single person kayaks as well as paddles and flotation vests at house for use. The lake is usually stocked with trout by California Fish and Wildlife twice a year for fishing, you can check their website for stock dates.
This is a mountain property located at approximately 6,000ft in elevation. During winter months, be sure to check CALTRANS website for any special access restrictions on your travel route. House has a few private parking areas at the home, there is room for approximately 3-5 cars. Parking is subject to potential snow in winter, there is no street parking. Vehicles may be required to have chains available or installed during winter months. The roads to and around the home are generally well plowed and cleared of snow regularly. Highway 18 is the main east-west road along the mountain communities and the house is just about a half of a mile off of this highway. If you are going up the mountain from San Bernardino to Running Springs or Arrowbear highway 330 will take you up. If you are going up through Lake Arrowhead (east) or Big Bear (west) those are different routes.
Chain Control Levels Explained
Requirement 1 (R-1): Chains or Snow Tires
Cars/Light Trucks (<6,000 lbs): Must have snow tires (M+S/M/S) on the drive wheels OR carry chains/cables to install if needed.
Commercial Vehicles/Buses: Chains are required on all vehicles.
Towing: Chains on one drive axle; trailers with brakes need chains on at least one axle.
Requirement 2 (R-2): Chains for Most Vehicles
All Vehicles: Chains or traction devices are required, except for 4WD/AWD vehicles with proper snow tires on all four wheels (these must carry chains).
Requirement 3 (R-3): Chains Required
ALL Vehicles: Chains or traction devices are mandatory for every vehicle, with no exceptions.
