Ruthin, a settlement on a hill, may be reached from Llangollen by travelling north through the magnificent Horseshoe Pass. Ruthin is conveniently located near a number of stunning natural areas, including Lake Brenig, Moel Famau Country Park, and Clocaenog Forest. The seashore, Snowdonia National Park, and old Chester are further away but still within driving distance.
