Saalfelden has a cosy centre with good restaurants and nice shops, and is centrally located between the well-known ski resorts of Leogang (Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Fieberbrunn) and Maria Alm (Ski Amadé Hochkönig). Kaprun's glacier (Kitschsteinhorn) is also only half an hour away.
Plenty of challenges in the immediate area for active winter sports enthusiasts.
But active holidaymakers will also enjoy this area in summer. The ski resorts are also accessible by ski lift in summer, where there is a surprisingly wide range of cycling and hiking trails, climbing parks and playgrounds. Relaxation and challenges enough for young and old!
