New Sunset Loft Guest House-Old Folsom-Kind Bed

Kick back and relax in this quiet, stylish home with a deck and a sunset view. This is a secondary dwelling unit built in 2018 above the garage. High-end finishes and featuring 1 bedroom with king size bed, full kitchen, bathroom w/tub & shower, and living room with queen sleeper sofa. Historic Old Folsom is within walking distance and has an old western charm that offers live theater, Gold Rush history, superb restaurants, cafes, bars, dancing, unique shopping, ice cream and chocolate shops.

Parking: VERY IMPORTANT! Please only park on the driveway in front of the single car garage in the alley (No cars with leaking Fluids are to be parked on the cement tarmac) or (No Auto Repair on the premises). Occasionally the owners may need to get their car out of the garage and may ask you to move temporarily. Do not park in front of any of the neighbor’s homes for any reason. There is additional parking at the end of the alley on Orange Grove. (Downhill side). Pull into the driveway to the right of the main house and pull forward to the smaller, one car garage door on the right. Upstairs to the left of the garage is your front door. When you book with us, a code is automatically generated that is the last 4 of your phone number that you provided to Airbnb. You will enter the key-code on the keypad to the right of the front door then press the red button to enter. To lock the door from outside, you will just press the red button only. This is a new home, so the weather stripping is very air tight. The door needs to be pulled tightly shut or it can bind the lock. The door will auto-lock after 30 minutes.

We are available via message or phone. We live 30 minutes away but can be there in an emergency. Please do not disturb the neighbors in the home at the front of the property.

With the discovery of gold and the arrival of the 49`ers, Folsom, on the banks of the American River, became a very active area in the early 1850s. It remains a lively active place today. Enjoy Folsom’s history by visiting the Folsom History Museum, Pioneer Village, The Folsom Railroad Museum, and the Historic Railroad Turntable. The site of California’s first hydro-electric powerhouse is located nearby.

Historic Folsom is a destination offering a wide variety of things to do. Visit art galleries and check out some live theater. Listen to live music and dance the night away at one of our nightclubs. It`s also the place to go for a unique shopping experience. Old Folsom has antique stores, clothing and home boutiques, and specialty stores.

Close to the American river, if you would like to go for a nice walk or a bike ride. About 5 minutes drive from Negro Bar and Folsom Lake Recreation area, offering water sports and swimming spots.

There is one ring doorbell camera installed on the exterior gate of the property and one by the front door for security of the home and to help prevent unauthorized parties or guests. If you have an unauthorized party in the space we may ask you to leave for breaking the rules and you will not get your money back.
Parties/Noise: In order to respect our quiet neighborhood, and to adhere to the laws of Folsom, we do not allow parties in the house, and we kindly ask that things are kept on the quieter side after 10:00 pm.

Number of Guests: There will be a fee of $25 for each guest over 4, unless discussed with us, even if the person does not stay the night. This is to prevent parties.

Check-Out: Checkout is 11:00 am. Late checkout is $100/hour. Please let us know the time you plan to check out so we can pass this information on to the housekeepers. We do a thorough cleaning after each guest’s stay. We kindly ask that before leaving, place any dishes or kitchenware into the dishwasher and start it; start a load of towels in the washing machine. This helps our cleaning process. Basically, leave the home as you found it.

Gate Lock: Please lock the pushbutton gate lock on the alley side, when leaving the premises.

Longer Stays: For stays exceeding 30 days, a mandatory cleaning service is required at the guest`s expense. This ensures that the accommodation is well-maintained throughout longer stays. The cleaning fee will be charged to the guest.

Restrooms: We kindly request that only toilet paper be flushed down the toilet. Wet wipes, including those labeled as flushable, should not be flushed as they can clog the sewer system.

Smoking: Our house is a non-smoking home, please only smoke on the patio.
No smoking of cigarettes or weed inside the house or there will be a $300 charge.

Candles: We do not allow candles in the home, this is a fire hazard.

Food Items: Please refrain from disposing of food in the garbage disposal.

Electric Fireplace: Please turn off the fireplace before leaving at all times.
Damage: We understand that accidents happen. We ask that you please let us know when something is broken so that we can replace or repair it. There is stain remover under the sink in the kitchen for the carpet, bedding, and sofa sleeper.

Garbage: Please place trash into the Gray Garbage bin and recycle items in the Blue Recycle bin on the cement driveway (Tarmac). Sunday evening is garbage night and if the garbage is against the fence, please help us by placing the garbage cans where the rock and cement touch. We appreciate the help.

Garbage day is Monday morning. Please do not put trash in the green waste bins.

Pets: Pets are not allowed, and a fee of $500 will be imposed for unauthorized pets.

BBQ: In the event that the BBQ is left uncleaned after use, a $100 cleaning fee will be charged to your Airbnb account. This fee is necessary to ensure the space is ready and enjoyable for all guests. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Garbage disposals are for small food residue only, not for disposing of food. Please scrape all food into the trash before rinsing plates. Putting food into the disposal often causes clogs and plumbing issues. If a plumber must be sent due to improper disposal use, related charges may apply. Thank you for helping us keep the plumbing in good working order.


Furniture: Please do not rearrange the furniture. We have had guests rearrange and damage the furniture. It is also difficult for our housekeeper to put it back where it belongs.

Makeup/Towels: Please do not remove makeup with the white towels.

This guesthouse offers its guests barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Folsom guesthouse is smoke free.
