Overall, my one night stay was adequate but not amazing. After reading the rave reviews I was expecting perfection. Upon entrance the main lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The front desk was cheerful, friendly and welcoming.
Upon entry into our room, everything looked inviting. The bed looked clean, sheets were crisp and obliviously clean and inviting. Shower was clean and water was hot and water pressure was acceptable. Unfortunately the room did not smell clean. In fact, it smelled like dirty feet. I couldn’t tell if it was from the dated carpet or heating system. The heater was able to keep up with cold outside temperature but the fan was very loud when it kicked on to adjusted to the room temperature. It wasn’t a steady hum from which you could get used to when trying to sleep in a strange place. The breakfast buffet was nothing special. It was the typical variety of breakfast food: powdered eggs, sausage bacon etc. with a twist. A hostess was serving the hot food at the bar. Overall, my stay was adequate and equivalent to a stay at the quality Inn.
