⛷️ 🚶♂️ 🚴♀️ An ideal year-round location
The chalet is ideally located close to the main attractions of the Maurienne Valley:
• ≈ 15 minutes from the ski resort of Saint-François-Longchamp
(70 km of pistes, 165 km combined with Valmorel, altitude 1,450–2,550 m)
• ≈ 10 minutes from the Grand Coin – Col du Chaussy Nordic area (cross-country skiing)
• ≈ 10 minutes from the Maurienne Valley (shops, services and supermarkets)
During the warmer months, the chalet's mid-mountain location offers generally cooler and more pleasant temperatures than the valley floor, particularly appreciated during periods of hot weather.
The chalet is an ideal base for discovering the Alps in all their diversity : hiking, swimming, alpine wildlife spotting and mountain cycling.
The area offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities, including mountain and valley lakes, traditional Savoyard villages and hiking trails suitable for a wild range of abilities, all within a peaceful and unspoilt natural environment.
Mountain cyclists enthusiasts enjoy direct access to several of the Maurienne Valley's most iconic climbs and mountain passes.
Located on the slopes of the Col de la Madeleine, the chalet provides direct access to the 15 km ascent leading to the summit (an Hors Catégorie climb reaching 2,000 m, and one of the most famous ascents featured in the Tour de France).
The Col du Chaussy and the famous Montvernier hairpin bends can also be reached directly from the chalet.
Cyclists may, upon request, use a secured locked garage to store their bicycles safely throughout their stay.
