"Does what it says on the Tin" Budget is Budget

As a combined "Styles" and "Budget" Hotel there is a marked difference between the two halves of the Hotel. The Room was small and sparsely furnished, no wardrobe or drawers and only a wooden stool to sit on. The Bed was very hard and no spare pillows/towels in the room. Floor was not Carpeted - felt more like a Prison Cell than Hotel Bedroom. No complementary tea/coffee making facilities or internet access to non local language media on the TV. Despite informing them on arrival and the day before departure that I was leaving a day early it was only when I checked out (just half an hour after the deadline) that they told me that they would have given me a refund for this if I had left on time. Having said all that the Hotel was clean and modern and the Bar/Restaurant on the Ground Floor very impressive (even though I didn't use it). Had the "Englishman's problem" in that most of the reception staff spoke little English (I speak no French so my problem not theirs) but ALL of the Cleaners/Maids were able to hold a conversation with me! I would guess that the "Styles" part of the hotel is better but for this trip I was aiming for budget so this is a statement of facts and not a complaint!

Well worth the train ride from Nantes

Very easy to find as its across the road to the left of the railway station and check-in was quick. I realise it is a Budget room but I do think a picture, painting or photo on one of the walls of a local site, say the bridge or "big foot" would brighten up the bare walled quiet room. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower invigorating. Being a Budget room there was of course no kettle or tea condiments. There is a bus stop outside the station to get to the attractions along the coastline but I chose to walk esch of the 2 days of My stay.

Perfect location next to station although if you drive there is not a single place in front of hotel to pull up and unload. Room basic but clean and comfy bed. Good breakfast but it didn’t change at all in my 3 nights, so this could become very boring for longer stays. Friendly staff

Hotel was overall very nice, service was hit and miss. Miss - Upon check in they lady was not very welcoming, there was no explanation of how to connect to Wi-Fi, where dinner or breakfast would be or the times even though the booking was half board which resulted in me taking neither. Hit - The saving grace was the lady who checked me out (I cannot remember her name) however she did ask me about breakfast any whether I had taken it and when I said "No" she organised a coffee and croissant to go which was excellent service.

Nice ibis in a nice town

The good: beautiful new and modern Ibis. Check-in was a little strange with no real front desk. I only chose this hotel because I thought it was free parking, being an Ibis, it was not. But overall a very nice stay for a 2 star hotel.
