This former farmhouse, nestled in the Allier Valley, has been tastefully renovated with the aim of welcoming guests to a haven of peace. The location is ideal for nature lovers (500 m² of private grounds) seeking tranquility and relaxation. The unobstructed view allows you to enjoy the landscape in both summer and winter, and to glimpse your neighbors in the distance: deer, does, roe deer, and other local wildlife.

Just 3 km away is the village of Saint-Prëjet-d'Allier, where you will find a restaurant/bar/snack bar with bread and pastries, a post office, and a library. You can also enjoy the free municipal swimming pool and borrow canoes and paddleboards for exploring the lake. You can explore several hiking trails starting from the village (fitness trail, arboretum, etc.).

Nearby: Saugues, 12 km away (shops and services, weekly market, natural swimming pond with lifeguards, Beast of Gévaudan Museum, Tour des Anglais, Michelin-starred restaurant 5 km away), whitewater sports on the Allier River, 10 minutes away. The entrance leads directly into the living room, which includes a dining area with a large table perfect for sharing meals by the wood-burning stove, a lounge area with a TV, a record player with records, and a few board games to keep you entertained in the evenings. The fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, etc.) opens onto the terrace adjoining the cottage, furnished with garden furniture and a fire pit. A shower room with toilet and washing machine is available on the ground floor.

Upstairs, there are three spacious bedrooms (one with a double bed (140x190cm) and two with two single beds (90cm) that can be joined together), a bathroom with a beautiful clawfoot bathtub, and a separate toilet.

Détente dans la nature

Nous avons réservé ce gîte pour 18 nuits avec deux personnes. Il était largement suffisant et, comme l'ensemble de la propriété, en très bon état et bien entretenu.L'accueil a été très chaleureux et l'enregistrement s'est déroulé sans encombre. Nous avons été très impressionnés par le paysage : il est merveilleusement calme et reposant. Observer les ânes dans les pâturages adjacents contribue à la détente.Un merveilleux souvenir que nous aimerions revivre.Un grand merci à Cécile et Hervé pour ce merveilleux séjour.
