The large wooden terrace will be the gathering place. It's pleasantly cool in the shade of the mimosa tree from late winter onwards. You can easily walk to the charming village square (shops). Utah Beach, a key D-Day landing site, and the Beauguillot Nature Reserve are both nearby.
